Challenge regarding Christian morality
January 22, 2015 at 6:14 am

This is a byproduct of another thread, but I think the point is worth its own thread, if not its own TV show.
Can anyone name a single Christian moral teaching (moral meaning helpful for the wellbeing of individuals and society) that is not reasonably obvious to any well balanced atheist?
If you are a Christian and the answer is no, what does that tell you about the relevance of Christianity as a moral guide?

Christianity is more detrimental than moral.

It's really fascinating how the theists seem to post everywhere but in threads directly challenging their religion.
Gee, I wonder why that is.

It just takes them a while.

OK... so...
Christianity has only obvious "good" stuff that everyone knows through common sense, plus reams of horrible unthinkable shit, a DIY barbarian bloodletting manual, that christians spend their whole life trying to pretend "doesn't say what it seems to say".
Overall?
Well maybe someone will yet surprise me with some amazing teaching from the J man. It's bound to be him right? He's the less killfrenzy one. You have to wade through a lot of genocide to get to him though.
I got one:
"Do unto others as you would have previous mythologies do unto you."
Ah crap.

After I lost faith I examined which of my morals were logical and which were not. Christian beliefs on sexuality aren't logical.
