There is no atheist credo.

Once you get over the intellectual hurdle ‘Who created God’ question, the better explanation is obvious.
It can hardly be a better explanation if the explanation itself needs explanation.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's not chance, Mister Strawman. If I thought you capable of being fucking educated, I'd explain it to you, but then, I've done it before, so you're literally just lying like the deplorable little shit that you are, right now.

Just because you really really want it to be true, doesn't make it a better explanation.

Yes, I imagine you're right: if you just ignore the gaping, showstopping holes in an idea, then the idea has no holes. Great tautology, genius.

But "get over the intellectual hurdle" sounds so much better than "special pleading" or "ad hoc assertion"!

So where are we, page 236 and snowtracks is still being intellectually dishonest both in his claims and his dismissal of others' retorts.

Yeah. I told myself I was going to put him on ignore and move on with my life a couple of months ago, but I keep finding myself back here...

That's right. I have no more idea what aspects of the universe are random and which are necessary than Snowtracks. Chance has no place in my cosmology owing to my ignorance of what about the universe couldn't be otherwise. Snowtracks would have to admit to the same if he wasn't wed to playing the magic card. Me, I'm holding out for a natural account. Doesn't mean there has to be anything random about it.
