Christians, Prove Your God Is Good
RE: Christians, Prove Your God Is Good
We got a live one! Awesome. Always when I'm busy on the weekend too. Smoking mass quantities of beef and pork, but I digress...

Can we keep him? Please?

Ps - Dear God, please send yourself down again so we can murderlize you again. That would be fun! Kisses, humanity.

I'm sorry to interrupt; I haven't read the entire tread.

MA81- you can't even demonstrate that Christ actually existed, let alone that he suffered or lived a sinless life. How are we supposed to take you seriously? How are we supposed to believe anything you say?

Are you argueing with God? Or do you have evidence I'm not?

If you are going somewhere with this, please get to the point.

Pardon me fot interrupting, but I smell a train wreck and I want in.

The point being, if you accept one supernatural claim, you have to accept them all.

You keep pointing out "there's no evidence for the contrary". There's no evidence against Allah or unicorns, either. So either you are willing to accept a fairy tale as true because it just *might* be so and admit that same can be said about all other fairy tales, or it's a big fat special pleading.

You aren't supposed to. It is not even within your power. Faith in Jesus Christ comes only as a gift from God:

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.…

Yet, there is plenty of historical evidence that Christ existed and was crucified. Most scholars agree on this, if I'm not mistaken. The big questions are A) Was He God in the flesh and B) Did he actually rise from the dead/do all the miracles He is reported to have done?

Those things will never be proven, so there is no point in holding your breath.

Sorry bud. But faith is just pretending to know things you don't know. If you had evidence you would present it. But you can't and must rely on the old con game of faith. Amazing anyone falls for it. Sure belief in magical cosmic Jewish zombie is required to save you from an evil force. Right. Sure. Gotcha.

(bold mine)

No there isn't. But that's not what this thread is about, so I won't further derail it.

And don't worry. I won't be holding my breath.
