RE: What the hell is going on in the NFL?

My thoughts are that they are going to make a draft day trade involving Ryan Mathews to move up for Mariota or Amari Cooper.
Amari Cooper is the best player in this draft, but he's all the way up there in the top 5. Chip says they won't mortgage their future for one player, but they won't have to mortgage too much with Ryan Mathews on the table.

I don't see Kelly moving up and snagging MM. I think the press would like him to do so, after all we're such a 'romantic' society and they would like nothing more to see college coach and QB form a professional marriage. Philadelphia's Web site was touting the WR from ASU, can't remember his name off the top of my head, but that's probably another lark. I do believe Kelly won't sell the farm to move up. I had it on good info last year that wanted Barr, the LB from UCLA, that the Vikings snagged but they didn't make a move from him.
On another subject, what do you think of Dallas signing McFadden?

You know, I hated Suh... Thought his was the epitome of 'roid rage, and then I watched his news conference after he signed with Miami and I was very impressed with his demeanor. I never knew he was so intelligent. The man truly does possess the switch. I now consider myself a fan of the man, and I can give a rat's ass about the dolphins.

Apparently Suh also donates more money to charities than any other NFL player. His style of play made him a polarizing figure in Detroit but no one could dispute his passion and talent. He'll definitely be missed for what he brought to our defense.

Keeps getting stranger. Chris Borland announced his retirement after just one year in the league.

The 49ers have brought the wrath of God for losing Harbaugh.

Our? I didn't realize I was the only Lions fan here.
Suh was largely responsible for making the defensive line formidable, but he could always be counted on to make a dumb penalty at a bad time. His lack of discipline holds him back from reaching the legendary status he's capable of.
Remember when the Lions didn't have a kicker and they had him kick that extra point? It bounced right off the post and cost them the game, but you couldn't really fault him for that...

Did they lose him or let him go?

I like it for Darren McFadden, not so much for Dallas. They had a cap situation where they're paying their third or fourth best player in Romo like their best player.
They had to franchise tag Dez, lose Murray, and worry about that O-line falling apart when contracts are up. They are going to be able to sign Zack Martin or Doug Free but not both then their contracts expire.
For a RB, a switch from the Raiders to any team is an upgrade. And to go to a team with the best O-Line in the league is a good thing. If he can stay healthy, we will see how good DeMarco Murray really was.

That's what I mean, they're being punished for letting him go.
