I dunno, as long as it's ice cold, it tastes better to me than Bud (which itself tastes like shit).
There's dozens of beers that are worse. OE8 and Schlitz come to mind.

Not for me. I was in Old City in Philly after (winning) an Army/Navy game, and walked into a bar that had $1 PBR on tap. I took one sip and felt sick. It tasted like beer tastes the second time around. Never touched the stuff since.

I believe we also have something like Real Ale served at some micro-brews....cask ale. It's great for stouts and some IPAs. I wanted the ability to serve it at home, but the pump the home version of the beer pump they use was 500 dollars the last time I looked for one.

We're undergoing a massive craft beer renaissance in Italy, too. There are at least 5 or 6 breweries I know of in my area, and I still haven't had the time to check them all out.
It's quite hard to find them in stores, though, and most of the time I only find them in pubs. There is a brewery-bar like 20 metres from my faculty, but I've never gone there as it's never open for lunch and I'm too lazy to go there in the evening.
Most of the beer I drink is either German or Belgian, and white beers are my absolute favourite. Red abbey beers are also not bad at all. Franziskaner is for when I want something decent and reliable and cheap; Ciney is for whenever I feel more classy. Poretti (a new Italian brand) is for when I have to drink in company of plebs and need something cheap and easy to drink. Those are obviously not craft, but they're not shit either.

Where do you buy from and what do you tend to brew? I only have a couple of batches under my belt. My first was a Hefenwisen and my second was a a honey ale. I go to either Ballast Point or Northern Brewing online.
