I follow create my own morality and my own values into being a decent person.

Atheists or those under the orders of atheists have killed more than 100 million people than the theists.

Nope

theists kill count  2,229,074,100 + counting

Technically, we can kill in the name of atheism.  "You don't want to become an atheist like me?  Then die!"

However, all of the regimes that the religious quote as being atheists didn't kill in the name of atheism.  They killed in the name of control.

Many of the hardline communist regimes were, technically, atheistic, but since they generally replace the worship of a deity with the worship of an individual or the state I think I can safely say they're not truly atheists.

The communists killed 110 million.....theists couldn't possibly have killed anywhere close to 20 million over the course of 10,000 years and that 20 million number is me very much stretching the number of people they killed by 10 million people (extrapolating based on the number of people killed by theists during more-recorded history).

What does it really mean to be a true atheist?

Not believing in deities.  That's what it means to be an atheist.

Communism does not equate to atheism.

It appears you're changing the definition of atheism when it comes to people living in communist socieities to fit your own viewpoints.

The way I look at it.

Atheism doesn't protect people from mass crimes.
Most religions don't protect people from mass crimes.

But I think we have to look at, what can heal humanity and bring peace and justice.

I feel that takes a higher morality, a uniting on higher principles, and emphasizing on a higher station meant for us humans.

Now a religion or book teaching this principles doesn't mean it will be successful right away or that all people claiming to follow it will be of that nature.

But it's the long term solution in my view, the healing to humanity in my view, the way to victory of the light over the darkness.

Without such a solution, we will never escape the cycle of injustice and oppression.

I have already stated that hard line communists, while technically atheists, replace the worship of the state and the individual.  So, atheist in name, but not necessarily in action.

Not denying they killed millions, but it was certainly not in the name of atheism.

Which atheist has ever killed in the name of atheism? That's only used by online atheists who want to pretend like atheists don't kill people so they can attempt to play the high horse card.

Now the accusations appear.

Not unexpected.
