Being gay is a fetish.
RE: Being gay is a fetish.
Source or slander?

Anyone can make convenient generalizations with nothing to back it up.

The thing is, the bible does not say that homosexuals should be refused pizza and cake.

It says if one man "does it" with another man, he should be stoned to death. Being homosexual is irrelevant.

So being gay shouldn't be an issue, only if they have had gay sex. And unless they tell you that, you're just going to assume?

And since you can't do what your book actually says, stone them to death, because secular law trumps God, you're going to annoy them as much as possible instead?

You'd feel unfairly discriminated against, especially if you didn't believe you fitted the stereotype it was aimed at.

I would be happy the the shop owner was exercising his God given right of self determination.  Because I am a theist, I face discrimination on this very forum.

You don't face discrimination on the forum because you are a theist; you don't actually face discrimination at all here.  No one judges you based on your age, sex, or race (or even your religious beliefs which I'll... loosely add into the definition), rather we judge you based on your strawmen and your attitude, as well as the willful ignorance and cognitive dissonance you espouse with almost every opinion you express.  Reactions are from people generally disliking what most of us perceive to be your ridiculous opinions; not discrimination.

Quote:I'm not always happy about it, but you atheists have your rights.  If you wanted to make this forum exclusive to atheists....and kick people like me off.....you are more than welcome to do so.

Other than the times you've been, officially or unofficially, warned, when have you ever worried about being "kicked off"?  Who is even saying that?  Just because I, for one, think your opinions are horrible, I wouldn't gun for your removal unless you expressly broke the rules, and as you know, you've been around the block a few times.

I find your views on many things repulsive Heywood but I respect your right to free speech. I've never reported you ever. I've really got no idea why you want to be here, but I have no problem with you being here.

How exactly are you discriminated against?

I couldn't bring myself to do that - blanket discrimination against anyone, not even Christians. I can't see how the world could work if you had your way, if every shop said "No x, y, z", how that couldn't result in anything but a very unpleasant experience for everyone. A world completely divided and based entirely on labels and not people. I don't agree with you but at least you are willing to "reap what you sow".

No, dumbass. Nobody gives a flying f*** about some pizza place, or another shop refusing service - there are plenty of smart business owners everywhere, who don't turn customers away, because of their own sexual insecurity. If it was all about those kinds of unimportant establishments, especially in large cities, morons could refuse to serve whomever they like - gays, bronies, Italians, or cancer patients - and subsequently go out of business.

However, making it alright for religious freaks to refuse service, based on their idiotic beliefs would set up a dangerous precedent, which could end up with Christard bankers in small towns refusing loans, or other vital services to people they don't like - be it because of sexuality, religion, or race. That is the problem and I'll bet you'd be protesting like mad, if the only bank in your area (perhaps owned by Muslims, or Jews, or just a different denomination of Christianity that just happens to consider you a heretic) had the right to refuse to open an account for you, because you're in love with Jesus' penis.

Grow the f*** up and stop worrying about what other people do in the privacy of their own homes. You're free to blow Jesus (or Moses, or Muhammad, or Hare Krishna) to your heart's content. Let others do what they like, since it doesn't affect you - unless you're an envious closeted homosexual yourself, wishing not to be reminded of your secret urges, that you have no courage to admit to (which I can believe all religious men are, since they claim they made a "choice" not to take it up the a**, whereas normal people simply aren't attracted to certain genders - no choice involved)(that and all that masturbation over Jesus and other bearded dudes).

That is a good quick test for people.

Do you think being homosexual is a choice?

If you answer yes, you don't understand the subject and/or you're mixing up being homosexual and engaging in sexual activity with someone of the same gender. The latter is a choice, but it is not homosexuality, nor is it proof of homosexuality.

If you still don't understand, please either ask or go learn (from reliable sources, not apologist websites). I can't even believe I'm saying this, but if you keep making gay straw men, you look rather silly.

He's "discriminated" against by being told he's a bigot and intellectually bereft. Hearing the truth makes him feel like a sub-class of human.

But isn't he being bigoted by telling us we're bigots for calling him a bigot because he's calling defending anti-bigotry bigotry? Tongue

Some Christians really do believe that being gay and/or doing gay things is a deliberate, "evil", choice, my dad amongst them unfortunately.

As well as ignorant, I find that position amusing, because they are saying they have to keep choosing to be straight. Better not get drunk or lose concentration, hey? And if it was a choice, it's only human nature that they would have tried it, even for a little while. Being homosexual that is. Of course, to most of them, same gender sex is the same as homosexuality so even this is lost on them.
