Lol at not being intelligent enough to have this conversation.  Dirt is intelligent enough to defend itself against you on this topic.

No, Heywood, the fact of the matter is that sometimes people, especially on the Internet, espouse ideas so stupid that they don't deserve wasting energy to respond to.  I only have a very small capacity to tolerate stupidity, so I leave that to our more dedicated members, whom clearly have no problem exposing your idiocy.

But keep up the good crusade against the evil gays.  It totally doesn't make you come across as a bigot.  Rolleyes

I don't have a problem with gays, except when they try to force their values on others.

It is probably epigenetic.

This.

If you can't win the argument on merits......demonize.

No gay ever has tried to force his values onto me. Christians, on the other hand....

I can only think it gives bigots some twisted sense of satisfaction from causing them as much trouble as the law allows them to. What such bigots would do were the law not holding them back is what worries me more.

Fuck Christian morality and charity I suppose. Just be a complete dick as much as you can get away with. Jesus would be proud, if he could stop killing fig trees for 5 seconds.

If a baker refuses to bake a cake that has written across the top, "God hates fags".....what do you think that baker is trying to accomplish by refusing to serve?   It is simple Rob.....he doesn't want to participate in something he opposes.

Fuck gay morality which teaches the homosexual agenda must be forced upon the homophobes.

Gays want to force people to serve them.

I am not a 'gay rights' advocate, I'm an equal rights advocate. For everyone.

I know what you mean. I find terms like "feminist" strange as well. I want everything fair for everyone as much as possible. I don't feel I need to specify very particular areas in which I mean this. I'm automatically a supporter of anything that is trying to promote equality and remove discrimination. I find it really hard to get into the mindset of someone who doesn't want equality for all.

I've found it hilarious as well as appalling to hear our resident homophobes trying to rationalize their fear of people who do different things with their genitals. They obviously don't know what homosexuality is, what causes it, what it means to be homosexual, or the difference between being homosexual and having sex with someone of the same gender. They've obviously been "educated" on the matter by religious propaganda, and refuse to actually go back and study the reality. I wonder if one day they will actually do some research on topics they know nothing about before parading their ignorance and thinly veiled hatred for those different from themselves. It feels just like "debating" evolution with someone who doesn't understand it at all. They need to give serious thought as to why they are so afraid of and hateful towards these people.

I'm glad that everyone came down so hard on these recent incidents, because if you allow one ignorant moron to go ahead with no regulation then it won't be long before every closet homophobe pulls out the sheets and lighter fluid.

It has nothing to do with fear.  I has to do with self determination.

I have no words for the stupidity of this statement. Obviously the distinction between wanting to have equal rights and forcing something on others completely escapes you. Probably because that's what christians do. Trying to force their world view down everybody's throats.

Negative.  Buses are state provided services and the state should discriminate.  However, individuals should be free to discriminate.

If you want to kick me and my wife out of your privately owned and operated gay bar and grill.....you should be free to do so.

I know Christians try to force their views on others.....but so do the gays.

I want a world were people are allowed to be self determinant and not have their lives controlled by groups with agendas.

Okay fair point (the second one). If you take an exception to an individual you should have the right to refuse them service on any grounds, but that is very different from blanketly stating "No Gays Allowed". How would you feel if a shop you frequented and relied upon happened to be owned by a gay person and they started putting up signs saying "No Christians Allowed". You'd feel unfairly discriminated against, especially if you didn't believe you fitted the stereotype it was aimed at.

I would be happy the the shop owner was exercising his God given right of self determination.  Because I am a theist, I face discrimination on this very forum.  I'm not always happy about it, but you atheists have your rights.  If you wanted to make this forum exclusive to atheists....and kick people like me off.....you are more than welcome to do so.

RE: Being gay is a fetish.
This gay guy came up to me yesterday, and he said, "Hello, I'm gay. You should be gay too!"

I said, "Hi bud, sorry, it doesn't work that way."

Then he whipped out his magic wand...

Personally I think gays have low self esteem and want to force people to accept them.
