Lazt time ve tried, ze allieds cut our bagguette supplies and ve had to give zem all our high voltage masts.

I forgot about the baguettes.  The last time I had a good baguette, I was in Montréal.  I don't know where one can get a decent baguette in the U.S.  I even tried a bakery run by Frenchmen, who had very heavy accents.  It was like other so-called "baguettes" in the U.S.  My theory is that they were deported from France due to their bad "baguettes."

I would keep the peace in order to keep a good supply of baguettes coming, too.  I see you Germans are wise.

But another question.  I have heard that some Germans like some of the strange beers brewed in other countries, that cannot be brewed in Germany due to the purity law of 1516.  So they import them.  Is this true?  If so, what is wrong with them?  And does your healthcare cover such hideous afflictions?  Is there no cure for this?

Hmmm. One to notice it is broken and call the landlord, one to write a request for a permission to hire an electrician, and electrician and their two apprentices... Now I lost count. But we use LED now anyways, they usually don't need changing...

I'm not sure in general, but I am a member of the Bavarian public insurance system, and they certainly don't subsidize such abominations, I wouldn't think.
