I'm not angry at god, I just don't believe in him any more. But it seems to me to be a moot point anyway because you have to believe in and accept Jesus as your saviour in life, based on faith; in death and genuinely meeting god face to face it would not be based on faith but fact.
So you meet the God character and he says that the Jesus character that you've been worshiping all of your life is a fake. What would you do then? All of your religious beliefs have been for nothing since your version of the God character doesn't exist.
I was a Christian up until I was 18. I'm now 34. I was basically ignorant when I was a Christian because I believed what I was told about God and Jesus without much questioning and without any proper study of the bible save for cherry-picking verses along with everyone else. That is basically the definition of an idealised delusion so even if god was real, the chances of mine or anyone else's interpretation being correct would be practically zero. So on the off-chance my previous beliefs weren't a delusion and I genuinely met god face to face I would accept him (if he accepted me) quite happily because my previous beliefs were of the fluffy version of God and Jesus, all love and light. But if he was anything else then I would be just as ignorant as anyone else meeting an unknown god face to face and in that situation, if faced with the genuine prospect of an eternity in heaven or an eternity in hell - standing at the gateways to both - I would choose to serve in heaven rather than rebel in hell, even if that made me a coward. But serve would be all it would be; I could not love without good reason because as has been said before, love is not a choice and it is certainly not real if it is the result of both a threat and a promise. But given the real choice I would much prefer non-existence to eternal life and thankfully all the evidence points towards that outcome.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Because most of you said "no" ... you've made your minds up already. This shows that you will NOT accept any answer.
You've decided your fate without knowing anything. This puzzles, and saddens me. There is no hope for you at all.
Its like chopping your arm off because its dirty.
Man's perception of God is skewed in every aspect. My guess is that we will "all" be surprised rather than justified in our belief system, or lack thereof.
To clarify my question, for those who don't understand it:
IF you met your maker, the one who created YOU in HIS image, would you accept Him unconditionally [without question] in every way?
Will you Love Him? Or would you deny Him your love based on His absence in this life?
Obviously, we have a choices here. We will also have a choice in front of Him when He says..... "Will you accept me as your God?"
I would accept the existence of what is right in front of my face. Not at all sure what would make it "my" god though. I'm not currently hiring to fill the position of my personal god. None is currently required or desired.
Like Jor said, it would be far more likely something was up with my perceptual/cognitive array than that this mystery critter was actually standing in front of me. However, that wouldn't prevent my being curious to get to know it. I would assume it was a projection of something more about myself, my species and maybe my mammal-hood. It would either be a golden opportunity to learn more or one hell of a memorable dream. I'd savor it either way. I'd want to know what it wanted me to know, about itself and/or anything else.

Based on this definition, I'd have to say "no". I'd definitely accept the existence of that being once I get enough proof of his/her/its existence, which I suppose is presumably already supplied to arrive at the poll question, but my acceptance would not be "unconditional love or respect" or any such thing, cause those things, as far as I understand, are things that we have to earn, and the assumed "creator" will have to earn my love and respect as well.

The reason most of you say "no"... or have avoided, and toyed with the question is because you "don't know". And rather than admit to that you fuck around.
Then side track the whole deal by assuming my intentions, motives and and religious makeup.... always assuming, and speculating rather than looking for answers.
The basic premise of my question is pretty simple and obvious... but as usual, you so called atheists make it as complicated as you can, so you can avoid the truth.
Well obviously. You know we don't get the lake of boiling oil so long as we maintain our ignorance. You're just intent on getting us to knowingly renounce your bible-daddy so that you can savor the image of us in that overly hot spring. Well forget it. I know nothing .. NOTHING!
