Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
RE: Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
That's a remarkably mundane description for what you claim to have been divine intervention........I didn't even notice the divine, or any intervention....in that story......
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I appreciate your honest description.
All I can say is that everything we know, see and feel are just neurons firing in our head.
Just ask yourself would you feel the same way if eg, you were born a muslim.

Your brain is finding peace within itself within the framework of options of your life at the moment.
The "god" concept can be soothing to many, that's why religion "works".
Sometimes our subconscious needs to be buffered by woo as part of "sorting out the garbage" thoughts.
Think of it as dreaming while being awake.
Nothing wrong with being "spiritual" if it brings you peace.
It just that the bible's description of what "god is" is why "we're" atheist.

Whichever way you go, don't pidgeon hole yourself to someone else's definition.
You are unique. Not a sheep I take it.   Take care.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

People say not to pick apart the bible but I plan to, along with any other ancient texts that I can get a hold of. I know the things that I feel, and talk about are real and the truth. I am, and have been nearly completely antisocial for the majority of my life. I feel as if I have to vent these things. Not for my benefit, but yours.

We are all dying anyway. Some faster than others. Why not try to help something if you think it's that grand and significant? In the most simple and direct moral view; I have two boys. And want to influence their future the best I can.

Hey, so do I (three girls too).  Young or all grown up?

It sounds like a very powerful experience you had.

If this was God, I'd be more concerned about his total absence up until that point allowing you to suffer through all that, his bizarre method of communication which even you can see is easily mistaken for a mental glitch under stress, and his refusal to provide you any actual evidence to show anybody.

But if you feel better now for it, that is good, whatever happened Smile

Evidence takes away the key factor of belief which is faith. Without faith there is nothing. It kinda sucks I know. But the only way is a blind leap. It wasnt my lord staying hidden from me but quite the opposite

Err...what!?

Yeah well, you can have "faith" in any made up premise that has no evidence. I don't know why that's considered a good thing, it's certainly no way to get to the truth.

But it depends if truth is what you seek, or comfort.

So you're proudly accepting a belief while admitting you have no evidence for that belief. Why the hell is that a good thing?
