Whacks his own mother in strict adherence to utilitarian ethics in a trolley experiment, but would have us believe he has language issues in order to feign ignorance of the definition and existence of theists to proclaim on an atheist forum that atheists in turn don't exist. Fucking troll.

Troll for sure.

I think you misunderstand me.What i say is what i mean.People think there is more - but there isn't(i'm confused why people think that in the first place).

Also,i can't understand a thing you're saying your english is too complicated for me,i'd be appreciative if you could make your sentences more simpler.(English is my third language.)

But he is kind of fascinating isn't he? It's like talking to an artificial intelligence that is all but at a human level.
pool, why do you say you don't think it's many? Is it because it's individuals, like one by one, and therefore we can't actually think 5 is more than 1 because 5 is a compound of what are basically ones and therefore it's not 5>1 but rather 1=1=1=1=1=1?

Well, its because everyone's life is equally important.
Society considers a set of qualities as positive qualities and a set of qualities as negative qualities.

Society determines the value of a persons life by evaluating the positive qualities a person have and the negative qualities a person have.
More positive qualities and least negative qualities means more value to someone's life.

Anyway,my point is i think everyone's life is equally important when you look at it logically.

Also, its impossible to determine the future of an individual unless i know them very well so 1(or more) of the 5 persons may contribute something significant to society whereas i know my mother very well and i'm positive she won't contribute anything significant to society.

That's my reasoning.

Edit:
Again, why do people think i'm wrong? Is there a fault in my logic?

The only fault I can find is the one where you judge everyone's lives to be of equal importance. But you contradicted youself with that one, by choosing 5 more potentially valuable people than your mother, so, really, you're just a troll or a mentally ill person. Or your kind of reasoning is something I've never seen before: half legit, half not so much. I can only wonder as to how can someone reach this type of conclusions - but I have no idea.

I don't understand.
If i choose the 5 others then i have a higher probability of being a bridge to have more significant contributions done to society.
And i'm a member of society so its all beneficial to only me.

I don't have any illness,i can simply look at things in such a way that nobody else can.(Apparently)

You're deviating the discussion - they haven't admitted defeat Tongue

Yeah, look, I totally agree on the whom to sacrifice part. But according to you, you can't make that choice - you said yourself that every life matters just as much, no matter what.
Here, let me show you:

A.
Society determines the value of a persons life by evaluating the positive qualities a person have and the negative qualities a person have.
More positive qualities and least negative qualities means more value to someone's life.

Anyway,my point is i think everyone's life is equally important when you look at it logically.

VS

B.
Also, its impossible to determine the future of an individual unless i know them very well so 1(or more) of the 5 persons may contribute something significant to society whereas i know my mother very well and i'm positive she won't contribute anything significant to society.

That's my reasoning.

See how A contradicts B?

Oh.I hadn't thought about that, thanks for pointing it out.
As of now i do not believe everyone's life is equally important.
But i also don't think that i should blindly agree with the judgment of society,i should have my own say in it.(As in what is most beneficial to society.)
Also,i no longer like you because i can no longer find any similarities between you and me,that doesn't mean i hate you though,i nothing you.
(If you can point out something is wrong with my reasoning,i'm willing to correct it.)

See,unlike others i don't feel anything bad when i have to admit that i made a mistake.

EDIT: I also do not believe that i am not special.Because even though every human seems similar they are way WAY more different than similar.Which makes everyone of us unique,so it makes me unique also,so i'm special - so are you. Smile
