Good for you, for giving it another go!
Yes, animals are so precious and I decided a long time ago I couldn't ever eat them.
I'll see if my wife has some ideas I could pass on. We buy a lot of meat replacement stuff, soya sausages, pies, bacon, mince, all sorts. We love them!

I agree about animals. Thanks!

See? This is why we need more women on this forum!
Are all women vegetarians or something?
Boy have I got a great line for that but, I'll let it go this one time.

Ok, you seem a nice lady and a good sport. Here's a veggie dish I make quite a lot. It's really, REALLY good.
Get some sweet potatoes (how many will depend on how many people you're feeding and how much they like sweet potatoes). Scrub 'em good, peel them and slice them about 1/4" thick, more or less. Put in enough to cover the bottom of whatever baking dish your using. Sprinkle some turbinado sugar over the spuds, then drizzle some honey on top of that. Now, get yourself an orange (doesn't matter what kind) and slice it as thin as you possibly can ( do NOT peel the orange) and lay the orange slices over the potatoes. Repeat this process (potatoes, sugar, honey, oranges) until you're right at the top of the baking dish. Bake it at 300F/150C/gas mark 2 until the potatoes are soft - use a fork to check, not a finger (unless it's the finger of someone you don't particularly like). Takes around an hour.
Let me know.

Min, you're an utter pig, you should be ashamed of yourself, and I wish I'd said that first.

Vegitarian as in no animal products or vegetarian as in no dead animal products, i.e. milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, bird nest soup, snake pee soup or whatever? What about insects? Chocolate covered ants, fried tarantula, etc..

Just please don't do what a vegan couple did in Melbourne: nearly kill their cat by forcing it on a vegan diet.
