RE: Which is your personality type :D
OKAY FINE

I got INFP

I didn't read the description though. can't be bothered. I don't think 16 types is enough to describe all people

I have taken a lot of these Myers-Briggs personality type tests over the years and I have been either ISTJ or INTJ.

If I'd have to do it a second time for it to be accurate that just highlights how flawed these kinds of tests are in the first place.

No no no,sometimes everyone of us think they'd fire their Financially broke mom out of our company if she didn't do good work but when it comes to actually doing it -we'd not.
My point is,if your test result was inaccurate maybe you weren't honest enough while answering them questions.

And my point is, it's precisely fuck all to do with honesty. You can be as honest as Abraham Lincoln but if you've got a warped perception of your own personality, then the test will give you a warped result. It's not rocket science to figure that out.

Okay I did it again but this time only gave polar answers (i.e. strongly agree or strongly disagree) and left no neutrals; forcing myself to pick a side. The first time round it was mostly polar answers anyway so not that much different.

My new result was INFP-T, so only one letter different; J changing to P.

These are the neutrals I had trouble with:

"your home and work environments are quite tidy"
I chose agree because they are *quite* tidy but perhaps not to an outside observer, but to them I'd say 'I've got a system!' Big Grin

"Being able to develop a plan and stick to it is the most important part of every project."
I chose disagree because in practice I rarely make a plan even though I agree with the statement in principle and would *like* to follow it.

"Keeping your options open is more important than having a to-do list."
I chose agree but haven't got a clue what it means so just a slight lean in that direction towards going with the flow.

Even if 95% innacurate BS, these tests are still miles more accurate than a horroscope test.... if only because horroscopes are 100% random nonsense and this test is at least consistently accurate in its measuring for instroversion/extroversion at least in my experience. Unless I completely changed as a person and hence changed my personality, I'd never ever ever get an extroverted result.

May not be the same for everyone...... but it is at least TRYING to measure by SOMETHING by SOME METHOD however innaccurate it may be, any measurment at all is going to be more accurate than rolling a dice and saying "I'm number 2" or I'm number "6" which is basically what a horroscope test is. completely and utterly random, not based on your answers at all - entirely by your birth place which is utterly utterly meaningless

P.S EDIT: Emjay that is interesting that you did the same as me and tried to doing it with more polarity. I really respect that you don't think I'm an idiot for doing what I did, it's nice to find some common ground. It makes ME feel respected and these days I feel like even the people who love me don't really respect me that much and I feel like I don't exist to people sometimes.

Basically when your self-esteem is low like mine and you're having a hard time, tiny little things mean an awful lot to you. I mean, I almost even told people that I re-did the test with more polarity just so I could hope for others to do the same. Felt friendless for so long.

RE: Which is your personality type :D
I've taken the Myers-Briggs seven or eight times over the past ten years or so, and I consistently test INTJ or ENTJ, which makes a ton of sense. At times in my life, I'm a social butterfly, planning parties and events and not feeling like myself if I'm not out there in the world interacting. Other times, like the past few months, I just want to be alone and socializing is more like work.

It is a pretty accurate test, although, unless the questions are answered honestly and without bias, I can see it being flawed.

I've taken this type of test many times before, don't see much of a reason to do it again.
My result has been INTP every time.
