I suppose I should post this since I'm from what I know the only black girl here.... So fire away!

How did you become an atheist? Is it true that there are less black atheists, percentage wise, than white ones? -- I'm not exactly sure how I got that idea.
Is your family religious though? And how do you cope with that if they are? Or do they just don't care about your lack of belief?
I mean is it true that black people tend to be more religious and why do you think that is?

I suppose I was always an atheist. I did wander into being a Wiccan during my teen years. As far as Americans are concerned yes there a definetly more white atheist than black. Not sure why. My family is baptist with a little Lutheran mixed in. The way we deal with everything uncomfortable in my family is simply don't talk about it.

What do you think about other races, in general?
Don't you find it ridiculous that there even is such a thing as racism? How would you deal with it if you had the power to influence how people think about it? Would you ridicule racists or illegalize racist thoughts?

Other than being a little wary older white people (over 50), I truthfully don't think much about other races unless someone is being an ass. Yes I do think racism is silly. Being multi-racial but for sake of brevity I'm black, I always find stereotypes a little funny. As for ilegalizing thoughts! Of course not, we all have a nasty thought every now and again but it's monsterous to take away free will because some else aucks as a human.

I like being a girl most of the time. It'd be weird if I was a guy. Penises a odd looking.

Trust me I'm not an older white person,at least the last time I checked. And although I don't think about race often sometimes I do have moments when I feel I should think about myself and all the implications of being me.

Although I have a marked preference for women I am dating a man. Girls are much prettier and I can connect on emotional level much easier.
