Fallacious arguments

Complete misunderstanding of the methods of science
Hyperbole
Wishful thinking
High imagination
Random sacred texts

Have I missed any?

Ok, let's see...

Guys, listen, Jesus is Lord, it's undeniable! If it weren't true, our existence would be pointless!!! If you had seen Him cure terminally sick people like me, you would believe! Last year, they have proven the God particle with undeniable truth, what more proof do you need? They wouldn't have called it God particle if it weren't the Gate to the seven great seals of Ishtar which are the eternal home of the dragons who carried Jesus into the heavens on the third day! It is written! "And those with wings shall rise and eat those who deny the LORD his double guacamole burrito" Ezekiel 69:69. That they have persecuted me on my youtube comments is further proof!
hahaha ... I never meant all of the above in the one fucking sentence!   hehehe

how's bubba goin' man?

Then by your speak, when we die the worms, bacteria and fungi absorb our consciousness.

First of all as our body die the consciousness move away from the body (according to my believes) so there wouldn't be any consciousness left anyway.
You never really die.
Your shell where your consciousness used to live die but you are not there any more.
Interesting argument indeed IAT.
Cannibals kill and eat the body of the victims not in order to feed themselves but to achieve to quality of the victims.
Usually the fighting quality.
What a big mistake they did.
The consciousness of the victim is gone so what else can be there other than flesh and the cells that compose the flesh have already done their job to transfer
or merge their consciousness previously at the time that they become part and parcel so to speak of the creature that feed on them.
So no.
Worms and all the rest want really get our consciousness.
All they get is the low consciousness that the matter (flesh in this case) can deliver but the issue doesn't end here.
Worms and other low conscious type of life are motivated so to speak by instinct so no matter what their development
will only advance by the rules of mother nature.
But of course there are exception to the rule as we can see from the tigers that are fed with boiled meat instead of raw meat.
They loose most of their aggressivity.
Also dogs that live next to people have the chance to accelerate their progress in consciousness.
Instead of being reincarnated into monkey they can bypass that stage and be reincarnated into humans.
So it is not all so simple.
All depend on the circumstances.  Lightbulb

I'll wait.

Why wait for me Neimen?
Just go in your search engine and click....plants have consciousness..........and you will find countless reports about consciousness in plants.

What did that prove, exactly?

All I got from that is that plants have some sensory abilities, but there are a lot of unknowns and scientists are reluctant to say anything that would indicate intelligence in plants. Which definition would you be arguing this fits? And this doesn't go anywhere near proving cells are conscious.

Plants. Right. If your argument is based on plants having consciousness, you may have a problem Big Grin

Not too bad! The little lady seems happy most of the time, and we even got decent sleep tonight, though not entirely uninterrupted.

So if plants have sensory abilities there got to be something that perceive these abilities.
Who else but the consciousness.
Without a witness entity how could the plant know what is going on?
Look at the matter like uranium.
Why uranium can deliver energy and other types of matter can't?
The consciousness level is not the same for everybody or everything.
This is because the journey to evolution start at different time for different entity.
The cycle goes on and on for ever so if the journey for that matter better known as uranium
started earlier than that of other types of matter then uranium will sort of wake up earlier from that latent or dormant
situation in which he is in.
This release of energy driven by that previous dormant consciousness that want to get out that constraint that kept her
in chains so to speak for so long is the clear signal that the time for more consciousness is up.
Consciousness is not only in plants.
It is everywhere.
According to yoga the matter is none but the solidification of God mental energy.
An old saying............WHAT GOES DOWN HAS GOT TO COME UP.
And therefore as pure consciousness went down in this continual cycle of creation or better say of de evolution
it will have to go back up until it merge again in this vast ocean of cosmic consciousness.
Cell therefore must have consciousness.
We all feed on something alive.
If the cells wouldn't be alive we wouldn't and could not survive.
And if they are alive it is obvious that they are conscious form of life.  Lightbulb

Awwww snap, son. I found out Lil' Rik's secret. He's been using the Chopra generator all along.

"The physical world expresses boundless actions"
"Transcendence opens essential success"
"Your heart fears precious fulfillment"

Lil' Rik, you sneaky bugger, you.

C'mon now, we're so close! How can we be sure we've removed our own bias, mistakes or even incompetence from the conclusion we think we've drawn?

Everything in this universe is temporary.
What make sense today tomorrow will be discarded in the rubbish bin of history so what we think it is perfect today will be found
wrong tomorrow.
Physical science can not possibly found permanent solution to the main human problem which is to find permanent peace of mind but by
following mother nature way of acting it is possible to find solutions to a lot of material-physical-mental problems.
Now let me give an example of bias and incompetence and the arrogance in refusing to follow mother nature example.
By using a tiny bit of intellect we can draw the conclusion that cells must be alive in order to deliver us the nutrients.
Dead substances are not able to feed us so we would be dead by now or as a matter of fact never existed.
If cells are alive then we can easy deduce that the cells got to be conscious.
As the small merge in the big by nature we can also deduce that the cells consciousness merge in us.
From here we can also deduce that the cycle of merging goes on and on leading to some goal.
Atheism is therefore full of arrogance into believing that the cycle end without a goal.
Why the cycle of merging into something big should end all of a sudden when in fact mother nature show us that
the cycle goes on and on?  Lightbulb
