Does she sleep in the top bunk?

Not a bit of it. The way she describes it, she fell about two feet or so. You know how when you feel yourself starting to fall you may flail about a bit trying to catch yourself? Apparently, she did that and wound up with her wrist on the floor and her elbow in her ribs. Hairline ulnar fracture.

@OP: Yup, I know that feeling. I'll raise you a crazy anecdote.

I used to kind of enjoy that feeling in some perverse way as a kid. I'd try and disorientate myself in my bed so as to bring it on. Remarkably hard work. You just triggered that weird memory!

Confucius says: never have an affair with someone who sleeps on the same side of the bed as you. You'll end up fighting and not fucking!

I always get to choose my own side!

I choose the one my wife didn't choose.

Oddly I have observed the opposite - Sometimes when I had trouble sleeping bc of intrusive thoughts, a change of orientation helped tremendously to relax by breaking the routine maybe.

Our arrangement is similar.  I can sleep anywhere I want except the side of the bed nearest the bathroom.

That's why I do it....and I find it seems to do the same thing for migraines.
