Obviously it's not something I like, so I'm not going to sit here and read it unnecessarily, and instead just choose to ignore stuff like that. But I don't let it affect my mood in such a negative way as to be "very upset" because I know it's not serious.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Yes, that would be me calling him an idiot. And in lights of his comments, it was a rather friendly response. Someone gloating over people dying, someone wishing for people to die, is actually deserving of a stronger reaction. Even if it was a joke, which I don't believe for one second, given his recent posts about muslims.

Yeah, but you don't assume they're just being sarcastic or joking, like you did with Drich and ABG.

Fair enough.

Considering the PM I recieved, I'm fairly certain it wasn't a joke or sarcasm.

Does it even matter? A joke tells the exact same story about the mindset of the person.

I don't know if it matters, I'm sure it does to an extent. I love offensive jokes. They're awful...but funny. This just isn't really the place for that type of joke. A person who thinks they're being funny even though they're actually being an asshole, seems better (to me) than a person who honestly enjoys the idea of other people being killed.

Depends when and where they are made. If they are made in a thread about more than a 100 people being killled in a most horrible way, they seize to be jokes and what remains is only offensive. Apart from the fact, that his comments weren't even remotely funny under any given circumstance.

I get that, but urging the deaths of folks is obnoxious on its face, friendship or no. Of all people, a bisexual atheist should be attuned to the idea that killing people out of ideology is bullshit.
