The Paradox of Power....

Most practicing Catholics are like me. Just chill, normal people. The issue is that we're not usually the type of people to join atheist forums, because most theists who join atheist forums do so to "spread the word." Which ends up being the more militant types.

With that being said, I did like Randy on a personal level. He and I had PM exchanges, so I got to know him a little bit.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I don't dislike Randy.  And he invited me to CA.  I wouldn't classify him as a nut job, just as unwilling or unable to follow two fairly simple rules:  don't post entire essays belonging to others and don't plagiarize.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Your threads, this one included, are generally improved by derails.

Sorry bout that.  But it was a fellow Christian who derailed it with hellfire.  It was an interesting OP.  Shall we go back to it?

NP! Actually I was entertained reading "some" of the exchanges. I'd probably be a bit boring after that... and need help from PT "derailing" the threat again to make it more interesting!
