"I really, really believe it" isn't a good enough reason.

What are you saying exactly? That Jesus and Judas never existed, but were a fabrication in order to parallel Genesis? The Bible has around 40 writers over the period of around 1500 years, yet it dovetails perfectly.

What other "work of literature" can you say the same about?

Willem Dafoe played him the best IMO.
Second choice would be to put the fucker in carbonite for all eternity!

But you need a real person for that....

I think someone needs to look up the definition of scapegoat.

What happened to Judas was a direct result of his own actions, mainly because he didn't believe that Jesus was who he said he was.

But Jesus was supposedly sent to BE sacrificed and Judas was carrying out god's plan.

And according to the gospel of Judas, he was ASKED by Jesus to betray him...

You're seriously going to reference a so called "gospel" written over 200 years after the fact?

There is not a single mention of your god boy or any of his alleged bullshit among any first century Greco-Roman writers.  Not one of them even heard of any "jesus" until Celsus writing near the end of the 2d century.

Now, be a good little moron and trot out your fucking bible.

I thought another gospel mentioned Judas dying in another way. But if Jesus was meant to die and be crucified to save humanity, why is it bad that it happened? Isn't it a necessary evil? You kinda focused on the Judas thing, what's your take on blaming the Jews?

It's not bad that it happened, if Jesus was never crucified, then we can't have eternal life... that makes it a good thing.

I don't blame the Jews.

The Jews HAD to reject the Messiah, therefore breaking the covenant that God had made with them. Had the Jews not rejected Jesus then the Gentiles have no chance.... a bad thing. The Jews rejecting the Messiah enabled God to establish a new covenant that included both Jew and gentile.

Jesus speaking to the Jews...

Quote:John 10:16
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
