There are some who believe that 'Original Sin' could be better understood as 'First Sin'.

It depends on the meaning of 'sin'. I am told that 'sin' is a term derived from archery meaning to miss the mark. So anything not hitting the bullseye is 'sin'.

If we take this to mean not perfect, then I think it can be admitted that no one is born perfect, and so follows that humans are born into 'sin'.

On the other hand, if we take sin to mean some evil action, the obviously kids haven't the mental/moral faculties to do much of anything.

It seems like even evangelicals believe in the blamelessness of children. Why else would people accept the killing of criminals yet not abortion? Obviously they must consider children to be innocent, if not sinless, and thus undeserving of any punishment or harm.

Perhaps you'd like to give your understanding and its justification?

Heterosexual sex between consenting adults....or at least that is how it comes across in that book. Poopooed by a bunch of homosexual perverts who don't want any competition for 'available sex toys'

Indeed, that is a vile idea.

No proof whatsoever that we're born into sin. Not a shred. In fact we have photographic evidence the exact opposite seems to be true.

I hate this quote because despite that it may be an attempt at poetry, it is utter, utter nonsense. We believe in the sun because we see it, if it was never there to be seen we'd only have reason to believe in light or some sort of light source we wouldn't have any need to believe in precisely the sun providing that it was truly completely undetectable. We believe in the sun because we know of it.

The idea that we are basically evil sinners from the day of our birth is quite pathetic. And no, there is absolutely zero proof for this moronic belief. People call me negative, well at least I don't have the mindset that we are oh so terrible sinners. Thinking like that would hurt my self esteem a bit.
