Pretty sure you don;t need to believe in karma to realize that your actions have consequences in this life. Aren't there cops in your country, courtrooms, prisons?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Tell me again how buddhism helps you to be a better person because I sure as shit don't see it.
Then how would you explain that a girl out of 7 billion will get raped? Coincidence , chance ? I'm sorry i just can't buy that. Yes the rapist will accumulate more bad karma.
"A girl is raped because of her past karma" . I'm not for a moment saying she deserves it. I would be a heartless person to say that. In fact just like everyone else i feel compassion. I used karma to explain why it happened. Not to say she deserves it.

Thus making the rapist the only victim in the rape. The rapee deserved it, payment for sins...but the rapist was only karmas tool. Somebody had to rape that poor girl..she had it coming. Karma wills it!

Yes, you are saying -precisely- that, and you have said it many times. Own it.
I know...I know, bad people get away with things sometimes. That may be rough to accept, but it's true. Believing in karma certainly does nothing to change it, it only turns -you- into a shitty person, apparently.

That sir is your view as an Atheist and there is nothing wrong with it. I don't know what will happen to me when i die, I like to believe that karma and rebirth exists as a natural law of nature.
Point to me then, the seat of your soul or any other organ which survives after death. The problem with your belief is that it is wholly unsupported by evidence, and with discoveries in neuroscience is being shown as impossible.

Buddhism does not explain any better why good or bad happen than any other religion.
Rape happens as an unfortunate part of evolution. Unfortunately in reality both cruelty and compassion, force and cooperation work in evolution. The good part of reality is that evolution produces empathy and is the real reason humans for the most part refrain from harming others.
The rape victim does not deserve it no, but the claims started by a delusional man of antiquity does not explain anything. Buddha, is a questionable figure just like whatever nice things Christians may claim about Jesus, it still does not matter if either existed. Both still would have been mere men who managed to market a new religion based on surrounding and or prior motifs.
"Suffering happens for a reason" is the same comic book excuse the religions of Abraham use.
Rape is natural, but unfortunately religion uses the word "natural" as a form of comic book good. In science both the constructive and destructive parts of life and nature, are simply things we observe that occur. Rape is bad, just like a volcano is bad, just like cancer is bad, but none of good or bad are magic or based on superstition of any kind.
The reason one should not rape, is because of our evolutionary empathy. We refrain from harming others because we have experienced harm in some way to ourselves. No magic needed, no religion needed to explain the good or bad that happen in life.

Karma is a bullshit word. Now seriously, 50 million humans die worldwide per year from everything. If we want to work on reducing harm to our fellow humans, Karma, nor Hell, nor Jesus, nor Yahweh or Mohammed nor Apollo explain anything about why good or bad happen.
If you agree that rape is not the victim's fault, then don't gap fill with bullshit antiquated superstitions as to why the perp does it. They do it in reality because they are opportunists looking to fill a psychological deficit in either their own mental illness and or lack of power and control in their own personal lives. Rape has nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with the rapist seeking power to make themselves feel good.

So if people do bad things and get away with, why is karma failing in that instance?
For the selfish person, they have "beat the system" if they get away with it since they don't care if the next person gets punished for what they did.

Like i said, I don't know what will happen to me when i die. I said i "like" to believe. Yes there is no evidence for karma, which is why I'm fine with calling it "magic". Just because i follow/practice Buddhism i am of no harm to anyone or myself.
