This thread started out describing the mind-boggling size of our little itty bitty solar system.  Which is not speculation, it's mathematical fact.  The vastness of the universe makes every religion ever created on this planet seem utterly absurd to me and many others.  Once you waste even a second wondering whether a deity exists or does not exist, yes that is speculation.
Of course, the moment I choose to assert that I find the possibility of a deity unlikely, and I relegate it to the category of leprechauns and unicorns, somebody who is certain that their imaginary friend is real gets in my face and tries to demand that I change my mind.  It's time to get out of my face now.  If your deity wants me to believe, have him tell me himself.  I won't accept anything from you.

Fuzzy.  Hi

I am not saying that the vastness of the universe is speculation.
Every person with a bit of brains knows that the universe is very very vast.
I am rather saying that your judgment about a deity that can not possibly be in charge is pure speculation.
As far as i am concern is your right to believe or not in a deity or not deity.
I don't really care whether you believe or not.
All i am saying is that your theory is pure speculation therefore your thread is worth as much as
a cig. butt.  Smile

Oh, hang on fuzzy.
One more speculation.  Panic
You say .........  They also believe sky-daddy wants every human to believe (but can't convince 8 billion humans what they're supposed to call him) and will punish them for eternity if they choose the wrong name.

How do you know that I as a believer think that God will punish people for .......choosing the wrong name?

"I am rather saying that your judgment about a deity that can not possibly be in charge is pure speculation."  Did I say that a deity CANNOT POSSIBLY be in charge?  I don't think so.  I believe that I said it seems highly unlikely, or illogical, or something like that. (No, I didn't go back and read my own OP.)  And there is clearly not enough evidence of a deity for me.

"How do you know that I as a believer think that God will punish people for .......choosing the wrong name?"  Oh, I'm pretty sure you're not one of the fundies who spout threats of hell. But most of the Abrahamic sects believe in eternal punishment, and I came from that background.  Here in bible belt hell it's the norm.

"I don't really care whether you believe or not."  Really.  That's nice to know.  Then what the hell are you doing here, with your walls of texts, trying to get us to swallow a bunch of woo-crap and put up with stupid emoticons of wagging bunny ears? Goddamn fucking asshole pile-of-shit baby raping preachers come in all varieties - even new age woo ones. You're still getting in my face trying to get me to believe in your brand of imaginary friend.  And I say again - if god exists, he doesn't need YOU to talk for him. And if he does, he's not god - - he can be in charge of billions upon billions of galaxies, but can't communicate with humanity on his own - - then we don't need to waste a millisecond thinking about him.

A speculation is all about stating something that can not be proved.
And that is what your OP is all about so there is no point in trying to say that you didn't speculate.
You are wrong.  Indubitably

I spent 46 years begging god to talk to me.  Nothing.  I gave him much more time than he deserves.
And your didn't answer my question.  If you don't really care whether I believe, what I believe, or do not believe, then what are you doing here?  Wasting time posting walls of shit on this forum trying to convince atheists that your imaginary friend exists even when he is incompetent, mute, and probably non-existent?

P.R.Sarkar my spiritual teacher said ...... I am here to give you spiritual guidance not material-physical
things.
I believe this is the reflexion of God or better say of an hypothetical God considering that to say that God exist is pure speculation to someone who has not experienced Him-Her.
Most religious people pray God for the daily bread (see paternoster prayer) or for something material-physical (money or physical healing) but they get nothing like that.
I can not read your mind and know why you were interested in God in the past.
What i know is that anyone really interested in Him-Her and not in something material will always get Him.  Indubitably

At the end i believe that everybody and everything will merge in the ocean of cosmic consciousness
so it is really your problem whether you wish to lengthen the time you will get there or you soon or later will change your mind and try to get there faster.
That is your problem and your life.
My being here is not to interfere with your life.
There is no permanent hell as described by religious dickheads but there is an hell in having to be born again and again and continuously delay the liberation from the constraint of the physical reality.
After million years of travelling through matter, vegetable life, animal life and human life an intelligent person wish to go back home where he-she belong.
That is natural but many people get stuck in the material-physical reality in such a way that they can not
comprehend their foolishness.
Here it is where i like to argue about.
This arguing make me feel really good as i feel how lucky I am in understanding how the whole system works and how good is to speed up my return home where I really belong.
If during this arguing then some people realize how wrong they are so much better.
I am rather happy to do some charity work as well but that is a consequence of the real reason.
Secondly i also like to interact with other people and by writing in English I also improve the language
that as you know is not my mother language.  Hi

Isn't that a mandatory prerequisite for a theist?

(Having a wild imagination doesn't mean you're also not batshit crazy)

What's he even talking about? If I do yoga, I get a better afterlife? Or I get a better reincarnation or something?

Yeah it must be reincarnation. I think it's Hindu stuff. I'll come back as another animal, with no memory of me, no resemblance to me, no physical parts out of me, not acting at all like me, but definitely me anyway, with 328 karma points.

No thanks. Just fucking let me die after this time round and be done with it. I make it not true by refusing to believe it. That's how these things work, right?

It would nice to have an independent referee to see who got more imagination.
I say that it make sense to evolve from small to big.
You guys on the other hand say that the consciousness that we got come thanks to
previous generation.
In this way (in your way) the consciousness that we got come as a present but every person with a little bit of brain material knows that nothing come for free therefore it is an atheists dogma to think like this.
There is no question of who is the one who imagine things most.  Smile

Good. You've presented your fantasy. Nobody knows what happens after death, so we'll see then. Have a nice next life.
