He wasn't my favorite. Nor was Michael Jackson. But I respect both for being prolific and knowledgable about their craft.

Oh no!
I think he was one of the most talented musicians of my own generation. He could play multiple instruments, was an amazing composer and entertainer, and had an amazing vocal range.
