Maybe we could install those body-scanner things from the airports, and employ the TSA in protecting the entrances to women's bathrooms?

(Luckily, no one seems to be worried that predatory men might molest little boys in those "appropriate" bathrooms for their sex/gender, so we wouldn't have to overburden them, protecting all the possible  victims.)

On the one hand, you're saying that allowing trans women to use the ladies' room will allow rapes to start happening because men will impersonate trans women to make restrooms more rape-prone, necessitating a law to stop it, or else you get to claim I (and others) don't care about women... but then you talk about how many men just walk into women's restrooms to commit rape, already. It doesn't work both ways. It's not like the assaults just started happening when Caitlyn Jenner transitioned, and the mouth-breathers everywhere suddenly noticed that trans people really exist. Our rape culture has always been a dangerous problem, for reasons way too complicated to go into in a comments section... but demonizing a vulnerable group WHO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT (as even your side admits) on the odd chance that a few of those rapists MIGHT try to use the cross-dressing to pull off the ongoing rape epidemic in a new way, is dangerous and counterproductive. You may not care about anyone who is different from yourself or what you find normal, but the rest of us do. If you really want to learn what feminism is, or how to actually do something about stopping rape culture, there have been probably a thousand books published on exactly that subject by feminist authors. This is not and has never been about actually protecting women, or we'd have heard from your side about it, long ago. This is about shaming those who are different, about whom you "couldn't give any fuck whatsoever", and finding an after-the-fact excuse to justify this revulsion. If you really REALLY care about women, try reading just two books recommended by groups like Feministing.

Feminism is about treating women equally, with full dignity and humanity, not about pretending they are pretty little princesses who need our male protection. And it's certainly not about policing who gets to be properly called a woman and who doesn't, as if the world was black and white.

Impressive! Literally not one thing you said in that rant is true. But it does show the true nature of what this whole "protect the women" anti-trans discussion is realy about. So, to set the record straight, I'll take it from the top.

1. It is not a mental illness, and no serious psychologist has considered it so for quite some time. Every professional psychological organization on the planet says it is not. You simply asserting something that is the opposite of what every expert on the planet says does not make it a valid counter-opinion.

2. The overwhelming majority of pedophiles are heterosexual, though the research suggests that pedophiles don't typically care about the sex of their victims, only their age and vulnerability. For you to suggest that one is connected to the other is in defiance of every fact research on this subject has uncovered.

3. Heterosexuals also spread the most disease, by a wide margin. If you will look at the CDC and World Health Organization numbers. I'm sure you're referring to HIV/AIDS, and not all the other diseases that only heteros can get (such as HPV/Cervical Cancer), but even that is primarily spread by hetero people. The numbers are publicly available.

4. So all those pictures of gay and lesbian people getting married when it was legalized was just a "farce", to fool us all, and they're only pretending to be in love and live together forever? Wow... good actors! I guess that's why they use George Takei (an actor!!) to represent them so often. Glad you saw right through it!

5. I'm not really sure what you mean by that rambling rant, there at the end, about the "radical liberal left agenda", but I am pretty sure that opening our society up to be more tolerant and fair is not going to destroy our civilization. All that God-talk about criminalizing gay sex and being "decent" sounds like Medieval thinking, like the Taliban wants, and frankly I don't want to take even one step back in that direction. Worship God how you want, but expecting others to do what you do in that regard is against everything any free person should stand for. As for history, well I'm afraid you don't have that one right, either. There are numerous examples of homosexuality-tolerating societies in history, from the Greeks to the Native Americans, which did quite fine.

Look, if you want to be opposed to the practice of homosexuality or anything else, then obey your god and don't screw a dude. It's really that simple. But when you start to tell lies in the name of your beliefs, we're required to stand up to you in order to maintain a civil society.

(For the record, the discussion was on the trans issue, not on homosexuality, but apparently my criticism of their reference to the manufactured hyperconservative Christian bullshit factory, the "American College of Pediatricians", in reference to the group's claims about trans people, caused this guy to lose his shit over liberal defense of homosexuals.)
