You never answered my question, Gawdzilla. How many innocent people gunned down by the police is acceptable to you?
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Now you know how you've sounded to me these past few months.
Oooooooo, ouch. You're really good with those snappy comebacks.

Here in NZ during the last couple of weeks there have been two police shootings. One involved an man armed with a large knife, who actually wounded a police officer. Another guy was shot and killed by police while executing a search warrant. Most police aren't armed with guns in NZ - as in the UK, only specially trained units have access to guns. Both fatal shootings were justified, given what I know of the situations.
The difference is, here in NZ, the next day on the news people were talking about whether it should be made harder for police to access guns! Totally different mind set. |
