Republicans have rigged two presidential elections already this century.

I'm probably on your ignore list, but really?

I'm curious..

Jeb pulled some shit in Florida to help brother George but if nearly 80,000 assholes hadn't voted for fucking Nader it would not have mattered.

I think rigged nationally is a stretch, although various states have put in place voter restrictions for the purpose of depressing minority, handicapped, and poor votes. Voter roll purges have had similarge purposes and effects. They may have cost Gore the election, though the stupidity of the Democrat commissioner's ballot design was equally important.

But somehow suppression of the minority vote isn't what what I think Trump is insinuating. And as he specifically mentioned Florida, which has a Republican governor I can't see democrats rigging the election a viable possibility even if they tried.

I'm a Libertarian registered Democrat (it's the Democrats primary that matters in Oregon). I often vote Republican. I would have voted for either Rubio or Kasich, or even J Bush over H Clinton. But I've never seen Democrats attempting to suppress Republican voters except through the time honored gerymander used by both parties. So I can't imagine what Trump is talking about.

I will vote Libertarian this year, unless Oregon looks tight in which case I will hold my nose and vote Clinton.

I won't be surprised if at the end of this Trump washes off the orange clown make-up, removes the candy-floss wig and admits, that all this was a part of a TV show.

"And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you kids!"

*Eyeroll* If you are talking about things like trying to manipulate the number of voters that come out in certain places and stuff like that, that happens on both sides every election, it's hardly the same as rigging an election. What Hillary did with superdelegates all being declared for her early is more then any general election shenanigans, so we know she's not beyond it morally. I'm talking about genuine fraud with voting machines and the like.

Since Trump wasn't clear what he meant by rigged, we can't be sure either.

What did she do?  Did she hold a gun on them?

What a surprise.  Elected Democratic officials came out in support of someone who had been a Democrat all her adult life as opposed to a self-identified "independent."

In 2008 the superdelegates did begin to trickle to Obama.  Sanders did not even get a trickle.

The superdelegate system did what it was designed to do-- it produced an establishment candidate. Other than being an establishment candidate, what do you think Clinton did?

Yes, because when the orange baboon gets crushed it won't be because of his big, fat, stupid, mouth.

Quote:'Rigged': Trump Is Trying To Mainstream Alex Jones-ism

Quote:As Katherine Krueger of Talking Point Memo notes, "rigged election" is a line that's been beta-tested in the last few days by Trump surrogate Roger Stone:

It was a line of attack that longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone pushed on a podcast with Breitbart's Milo Yiannopoulos that was posted online Friday. Stone suggested voter fraud is "widespread" and said if Hillary Clinton wins a state like Florida after polls show Trump in the lead, the election would be "illegitimate."

An extension of the long-standing talk radio mantra wherein Lib'ruls are stealing the country and giving it to the niggers at the expense of poor-down-trodden white men.

The uneducated eat that shit up.  It's what they want to hear.

The superdelegates aren't supposed to declare until the convention. By having the media constantly say that Hillary was up by 500 delegates from the start, it influenced people's decision to go vote in primaries. It's well known in political science that people are more likely to go out if they think the election is close and the election between Bernie and Hillary was close, but Hillary, the DNC and the media made it seem like she was up by delegates that weren't hers yet. That's a well known method of voter suppression.

The superdelegates are not meant to pick an establishment candidate, but to ensure not having a crazy candidate that reduces their chances of winning the general. Considering that Bernie was up against Trump by 20 points, they did the exact opposite of what they are 'meant' to do.
