meh.... tastes a bit like shrimp, but is less juicy, less fatty.

I personally love all seafood. I have never encountered a sea beast I didn't enjoy eating.
Mussels, shrimp, lobster, all sorts of crab and fish. Even octopus and eel were amazing. Love it. I shall give myself iodine poisoning in a couple weeks time in Florida.

Most of the time we boil prawns and eat them cold with seafood sauce or stick them on a pizza.
Personally, I like to sautee tiger prawns in olive oil with fresh garlic, deglaze the pan with a little white wine, add cream then reduce, add a touch of pepper and sugar, a drop of tabasco sauce and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese right at the end, then serve on a bed of jasmine rice.
The sugar might sound strange but it takes the slight metallic taste out of the tabasco.
I make the best garlic prawns in the world and that is no lie.
I also make the best Funghi Alla Carbonara Fettucine in the world. I have no doubt.
Crab - When I was young we owned a beach shack at a place called Seaforth in Queensland.
It was a tradition each weekend to buy a freshly baked loaf of uncut bread.
On our way to Seaforth we would pick up a nice pineapple at the pineapple farm.
We had a mangrove creek behind the shack with mud crab pots.
We would pull the pots, take out a few muddies, boil and crack them.
For lunch we would have thick sliced, heavily buttered bread with crab and pineapple.
Just thought I would share that special memory with youse. :-)

Ah, well, h ere I am if people want me. I get kind of political at times, but maybe my parents finally got into me how to not rock the boat. I don't like controversy for its own sake.

I think that is just one person's opinion. I wouldn't say they taste similar at all. I just asked my coworkers and they were like 'uh where in the world did they eat lobster that tasted like shrimp?!' lol Lobster is much better. I prefer crab myself though.
Omg seafood is the best thing in the world. My stepdad decided he liked the three year old me when I helped him finish off an entire bucket of oysters. I have never had something from the water that I don't like. I eat dried seaweed like chips. I used to take squid and octopus in my lunches to school. Being 5 hours from a coast (and that coast being the Gulf of Mexico and not impressive lol) so we don't even have the good stuff. Going to Mississippi was a real treat food wise. I don't usually have any desire to cross the Mason Dixon line but hell I'd sure like to go to Maine and try their lobster. lol

I like lobster but I don't think it's better than shrimp. It's equally delicious for about $20-30 more.
