The double standard is all the people that came out in defense of a certain gay politician having sex with an underage boy. At first everyone played dumb, then they began making excuses.

16 is the age of consent where I am. Bit shaky, but I don't find this particularly objectionable on its own, and certainly not enough to label the guy a pedophile. Seems like classic theistic stretching beyond their means to me.

A statutory rapist under a superfluous law is one thing.  Taking the unreasonable theistic leap of referring to him as a pedophile is something else.
