You could be talking about church leaders, especially in the Catholic church, having sex with underage teens and then just getting transferred when caught, and rarely facing legal prosecution. That is also a pretty serious double standard.

I'm not aware of the case you refer to, Huggy (seems I've avoided it until now).
However, as far as I'm concerned any adult who engages with sex with an underage person (younger than the age of consent), should be locked up, no matter who they are and what position they may hold in society. Hell, if my favourite person in the world - my father - had sex with an under age girl or boy I'd be the first to demand he be locked up.
The situation here isn't that he engaged in the molestation of the girl, for which he has been rightly locked up. The problem is that his church is demanding an apology from his VICTIM.

If it's according to the law then sure, what can I do about that? If I had a 12 year old daughter I wouldn't give MY parental consent.
