Nope, never said that. Nice try though! Of course I can fathom the US government doing such things! (I am a passionate X-files fan after all [emoji6]). But, in this case you're taking something that's not actually a mystery and trying to make it one.

I simply don't trust the government, and with good reason.
As I stated earlier, the CIA was involved in drug trafficking in the 1980's, that is not conspiracy theory, it is conspiracy FACT. During this time, the same administration was waging a war on drugs. THIS impacted more lives than the 3000 or so that died on 9/11.
So nothing is far fetched when it comes to what the government is willing to to it's people.

At the end, conspiracy theorists are expressing a desire to control the events in an uncontrollable world, so far as I'm concerned. "I know what really happened" has a way of giving a sense of power to the person who thinks that.
Whether it does or not is open to conjecture.
Full disclosure: I think JFK was killed by a conspiracy. But it happened before I was born, so I don't have any skin in the game.

I don't disagree with you on what our government is capable of. Unfortunately though, none of the above is actually tangible supporting evidence for the 9/11 conspiracy claims, SPECIFICALLY. Interesting to note that my uncle, who is a 9/11 truther, gives me the same CIA drug trafficking line every single time he talks about the World Trade Center, lol. Do your guys have a script or something?
