Game Over for Trump

Just because he criticised Hillary doesn't mean he would vote for Trump. Do you pay attention to what people post? As he stated in this thread and many times in the past, he has made it quite clear that he doesn't like either candidate.

I pay attention. Why does my response have to mean that I was not paying attention?

Because your reply had fuck all to do with reality. Clear enough for you?

I can guarantee that my reality differs greatly from yours. Is that clear enough?

Maybe your reality is living in a mansion while mine is struggling in a motel. Is that clearer?

I could create other scenarios regarding personal realities and how we treat those around us differently depending upon how one reality differs from another.

If you think your vote for President will have any meaningful impact on your personal circumstance you're delusional. This may come across as malicious, but I say it empathetically. I've lived it. There's nothing either one of these cunts say, assuming there's a reasonable chance they can get their bullshit through Congress, that endears me to either,

As always they will say whatever the focus groups tell them to say in order to get more votes. How either will actually execute the office is much like God and his mysterious ways. Seriously, hope and change became more of the same in the last eight years.

I think that's exactly the point of Kevin's "No True Scotsman" comment.

Like it or not, all our elections have to do with policy positions. The problem is, the voters seem to be voting based on personality, and have been since at least Kennedy, if not before (with the exception of 68 and 72 -- I'm looking at you, Nixon).

Policy can be difficult for we lowly peons to measure.  Personality, otoh, we're all experts on that.   Wink
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

People seem to forget that the POTUS is not just the chief legislator. Personally, I believe the president's most important role in 2016 is that of the chief diplomat. Can you imagine Trump representing the U.S. on the international scale? Within the first week he'd call Angela Merkel a "fat cow" and mispronounce Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's name claiming, "Well those people, those people, they have hard names to pronounce."

So the idea that the race doesn't matter because it'll be the same shit one way or the other is just wrong.

Really?

Come on Aegon, I think we could all say something worse about Merkel.
