It feels so good for my baseline to again be happy. I know it won't last, but it's been a long few months since I've felt sunshine in my life, and I'm gonna dance in it while the skies are blue. And hopefully when the clouds do come, I'll still be able to sing in the rain. I think what's happening is the recovery roller-coaster is getting near that flat track towards the end of the ride.

I think I'll finish a song I'm working on tonight ... it's got a moody, spacey feel interspersed with heavy riffage, but the harmony is on the happy side of things, and it needs two more parts, I think -- one up-tempo, and a little interlude, I think, of mellow. May as well capture the moment, y'know? Make the thing a roller-coaster itself, and journal my feelings with it.

I can hear a few different ideas I'd play over this -- modal harmonics over the intro, and a rippin' solo or couple of licks in places. Great stuff, Hams -- great stuff.

I am visibly shaking in anger right now. Call me thin-skinned all you want, and maybe I am. I just can't not react to someone mocking me about something very important and personal to my life. I know they are just getting their jollies out of my reaction, but this is the kind of stuff that puts suicidal thoughts in my head. Fuck you.

I'm not sure of the reason for your hurt, but I've found that real life also has an ignore function.

I hope you're able to tune out the assholes and flatface them into silence.

Pleasantly surprised (but confused) that Music Magpie has paid me the full offer price for every item in a large box of CDs and DVDs I sent them. I was expecting about 75% because in the past they've been very strict on condition and I know for a fact that some of the things I sent in were in less than perfect condition (broken cases/scratched discs etc) and in those cases I was just using them as a convenient disposal method, not expecting them to pay out. Maybe they've changed their policy and have realised that since their slogan could well be 'Music Magpie: guaranteed equivalent to or marginally better than a kick in the teeth' in terms of offer amount, they may as well pay the full offer price regardless of condition for the sake of good (or better) will. Or maybe they've decided that it's more cost-effective not to bother with condition checkers at all because it takes a long time (especially given the above point about the offer price) and just treat it more like a lottery... the way penny booksellers do on amazon; I think that's the approach I'd take if I were in their shoes. Anyway I'm a happy bunny; in full declutter mode that's £40 for a box of space, and made better because they even sent a courier to pick it up free of charge. Now I'm going to have fun on Amazon Music spending that money on re-aquiring some of my favourite tracks from the CDs I've decluttered as single MP3s (and before you ask, when I decluttered the CDs that meant removing their ripped tracks from all my devices as well... can't sell the CD and keep the MP3s of it... it would be, IMO unethical... but that's just me ); no point in keeping an album if you only like one or two songs on it. So this should be fun
