Do you reckon that some crazy Trump supporters might show up with guns outside the voting places? I mean, you've got Trump fanatics calling for literal revolution now and no offense, but it's 'murica, you guys kinda have a gun problem.
I know I'm just a Brit and that my opinion didn't matter in the first place but I'm happy that I came to my senses and distanced myself from Trump. It's getting worrying now.

A "gun problem" in America? No! Not us!
That's kind of like saying Albert Einstein is currently experiencing "health problems", what with the being dead a long time and all.
Have you ever noticed all the drug commercials on TV lately? Why is it the side effects never include penile enlargement or super powers?
Side effects may include super powers or enlarged penis which may become permanent with continued use. Stop taking Killatol immediately and consult your doctor if you experience penis enlargement of more than 3 inches, laser vision, superhuman strength, invulnerability, the ability to explode heads with your mind or time travel. Killatoll is not for everyone, especially those who already have convertibles or vehicles of ridiculous size to supplement penis size.

There's no law against carrying a firearm to a polling place in the general, though there are laws in some states against carrying firearm into some polling places specifically (schools, courthouses, etc), or laws that amount to the same since you can't carry a gun in city limits. Why would there be? So long as the guy has a license to carry (or it's an open carry state, or the specific place isn;t a restricted site or township)... he isn't doing anything illegal, he's just a citizen voting.
OFC, if you're there with a firearm interrupting the polling process, by..say..menacing the shit out of people......your ass is going to wind up in a federal prison. Poll watching is absolutely welcome in our system..poll interference, and even more egregiously -armed- poll interference, is not. The republican establishment has already warned people interested in interfering with the polls that they will not be tolerated. So, even the gun nuts agree on this one.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I was aware about some of the laws regarding firearms at polling places, but I was talking about the last part of your post -- them intimidating, possibly attacking people.

If they tried, the police vans would start pulling up. These 'revolutionary' wannabe's are all talk. I doubt you could find a single whole testicle in a crowd of them.
Besides, the real gun nuts strap on their semi-automatic rifles to go to fast food establishments. Ok, joking aside, I don't think guns are going to be much of an issue on election day, if at all. What I worry about is the possibility of assassination attempts after the fact -- not just on Hillary but anyone these idiots have decided is an enemy.

Maybe there is no law against it, but there should be. I'm in an open carry state. WITHOUT EXCEPTION the people I know who are licensed to carry (and do) fit into one (or both) of exactly two categories: Moronic and borderline insane. One already shot himself accidentally. Another can quote the exact line in the Affordable Care Act which mandates we all get RFID chips implanted and will keep quoting it even after you've brought up the law, gone to the section he mentioned and show him that it's not there. None of the "normal people" I know feel the need to carry. It has gone too far and it will bite us in the ass.

-Why- should there be? The things you worry about are already illegal anyway, and I'm not sure you're qualified to diagnose or assess every gun carrying citizen in your state. What's gone too far?
I get that you see a gun and you immediately think "crazy person"...but that's probably not true, and clearly isn't a good foundation for a law.

Perhaps you should improve the quality of your acquaintances, then?
My mom's common-law husband is as sharp as they come, liberal to the point of voting for Bernie in the primaries, and can talk intelligently on any number of topics ranging from classic jazz to world history to auto repair.
He's got a concealed-carry license (you don't need a license for open-carry here in Texas).
Your generalization based on your own limited experience is just that: a generalization based on your limited experience.

I get that you see a gun and you immediately think "crazy person"...but that's probably not true, and clearly isn't a good foundation for a law.
Nice straw man. I never said that when I see a gun I "immediately think 'crazy person'", nor did I suggest that were true, nor did I suggest that I was remotely qualified to diagnose tens of thousands of people I've never met, nor did I even remotely pretend that suggesting such a thing wouldn't be utterly ludicrous. I said it was true OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW who carry, and it is true of ALL the people I know who carry. And I do mean people I "personally know", as in, "my friends and acquaintances". I KNOW the guy who shot himself. He's an idiot. I KNOW the guy who can point out the RFID chip line in the ACA which isn't there. He's not nuts, but he's scary close.
And there should be because gun violence is already a real problem in America and, contrary to the utterly ludicrous claim, the answer to "bad people with guns" is very much NOT "good people with guns" as all the evidence EVER points to. There were "good people with guns" at the night club in Orlando. People still got shot.
So, what exactly are "the things I worry about" that are already illegal anyway? I don't remember telling you what "the things I worry about" were.
You are seriously projecting here, pretending you know more about me than you possibly could. You are also seriously exaggerating what I said and claimed. If you want to have an intelligent conversation, I'm all for that. But don't put words in my mouth and don't pretend that you could possibly know "the things I worry about". A serious conversation is an honest conversation and nothing in your reply was remotely honest.

Your generalization based on your own limited experience is just that: a generalization based on your limited experience. Yeah, it is a generalization based on my own limited experience. Well, that and the repeated school shootings we have several times a year killing children, but mostly the generalization thing, I'm sure.
