Pedophilia like drug abuse are two a real world examples of demonic possession.

Meaning there are similar attributes, thinking patterns and general patterns of behavior that follow the afflicted/possessed. So how does this differ from a mental illness? All are susceptible if they simply let the demon in. It is not a sickness meaning there is not a virus or bacteria altering physical health that one can just pick up. Like with the drug demon you have to invite the monster in, and over time you adopt his attributes and his character traits. That is what I mean by possession. What makes you, is controlled or is over come by a greater power/demonic influence. And all who have been possessed now share similar behaviors and traits. As if there is one master mind and the possessed become puppets. As people become more and more consumed by the demon they loose who they are, and all eventually assume the demon's identity instead of their own.

Your belief in demons or not, isn't what i am discussion. It is the centralized/common behavior and works that the afflicted are subject to despite who they maybe apart from their use of drugs or pedophilic behavior. It is a common core behavior that all seem to ascribe to. As if the individuals merge with and become apart of a greater evil being.

You being blindsided reminded me of my own experience in dealing with pedos and understand the contrast. Which is why i likened it to being 'demon possessed.' Because it's like the person you know is an individual who can have a completely opposite life, then when the demon is awakened he looses control and becomes a completely different person. One that falls in a completely predictable pattern of behavior. This change from an individual to a singular uniform profile is why i likened it to possession. Because it is like one being who's behaivor is manifested through out the pedo community changes individuals into mirror images of itself. The only difference between one pedo and another is what stage of possession/development they are in.

Yes but a 12 year old being attracted to another 12/13 year old is not the same thing as a 40 year old being attracted to someone of that age.

People date within their respective age group because they have a lot of common ground with eachother, based on them being the same age. That floats throughout life. I was attracted to other teenagers when I was a teenager yes, and that was appropriate at the time because 15 year old me dating another 15 year old was not an un-even power dynamic.

But I'm older now and I don't personally relate to teenage life anymore, so I've lost my interest for teen boys and have developed an interest for men in their 20s, because that's my current age and it's what I currently relate to the most.

I think it does involve will and decision. Let's entertain the idea, you've got someone who for whatever reason is attracted to child-like features. Why don't they just find themselves an Ariana Grande or a Josh Hutcherson, a legal adult who happens to have young-looking features? There are plenty of adults like that out there these people can aim for, but instead it has to be a child? That's what I mean when I say it's a fetish. If an old adult (who doesn't emotionally/personally connect to teenagers at their age) not only sees it as a physical thing but actually wants a child partner, it's because they get off to the feeling of having sexual power over someone inexperienced with sex. That's a fetish, not a sexuality.

You are a woman. And as a woman, you feel attraction to men. Now, what if you go to a (hypothetical) society where your desire for men is considered bad and you should be punished. How would you feel? You have been biologically programmed to like men, the same way pedophiles like kids. It would be unfair to judge you if you havent commited a crime.

Also, you are assuming pedophiles enjoy overpowering the kids, but that is not necessarily true. We are talking about a genuine attraction towards kids, not a fantasy.

But everything about it is a fantasy.  If you're an adult that thinks you are going to have a physical/romantic relationship with a child you can only have a fantasy other wise it would be illegal.

Pedos don't intentionally groom themselves to fit a sterotype, they are simply subject to this larger force that has taken control. Which is why I also compare this to drug use (as most of us can relate to someone who is hooked on some sort of substance abuse.)
