He spent years on a submarine that was older than he was. In Iraq, people were killed not far from him. If you want to belittle his service and patriotism, that's your business. It doesn't bother me, and I doubt it would bother him. When questioned about protestors in Iraq, his response was to shrug and say In a country of 30 million people, they're not all going to like you.

You know that it's common to use an opponent's position for effect in debate. If you want to ignore our debt so that we're wealthy, that's fine - but there are consequences to that position. One is that America, building on Europe, has found peace and prosperity. Other countries can see that. Some adopt our ways, with some modifications for their own cultures. Others don't. Personally I don't have much pity for skinned knees when the person refuses to wear knee pads.

As the US debt is in dollars, all the goverment really needs to eliminatie it is a couple more presses. And, frankly unless the US is completely different to any other nation with a soverign currency most of that debt is money it owes itself.

The crackpots peddle the idea that it's Jchina (boo, evil foreign takeover)...which it was, but that was under -their- boy, the Obama admin has been buying it back and borrowing inhouse.
