It seems Rand supports beliefs that are not blind:

"in the sense of blind beliefbelief unsupported by, or contrary to, the facts of reality and the conclusions of reason. Faith, as such, is extremely detrimental to human life: it is the negation of reason."

Through your own processes of reasoning would you come to the same conclusions as Ayn Rand on Laissez Faire capitalism?
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

So you have the same position as most of us but use different words.

I apologize for my comment. I must admit I did not read it bc of how it was formatted and I assumed it was another troll post. After all of century's threads, I've been a bit weary but I can see now that it is not a troll.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I agree.

Of course I have no belief in his entertainment value one way or the other.

I myself don't have beliefs. UNLIKE THOSE SILLY BELIEFISTS

A belief is something you hold to be true. It can be supported by evidence, or not. If you hold that you don't have any beliefs, and you think that it is true that you don't hold any beliefs; that is a belief. At this point, a proper android would have smoke starting to come out of its ears, maybe spark a little, and start saying things like 'Does not compute!' and 'Error! Error!'.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

But dude.. he said he doesn't consider anything true he only considers things scientifically true.

Pffft. What are you gonna tell me next? That scientifically true is still true? Gimme a break dude! The guy SAID that he holds nothing to be true. He only holds things SCIENTIFICALLY true and beliefs are ESPECIALLY without proof.

Next you'll be teling me that "especially" doesn't mean "always"!!!

Tongue

I mean, the guy asked us to join a cult. Are you suggesting that he doesn't realize he's using the wrong words?

I really dislike when people use formatting to express their personality (like Redbeard also does). It's obnoxious and hard to read. Or like those really long signatures that hijack your scrolling navigation.

Stop! Please, stop!
