I thought the Mormon take on God(s) was ludicrous, and now with a better understanding of Christianity, I realize a better understanding of their deity is precisely what they don't have.

As it is, their take on their god is astonishing. As Joe Smith, were he alive today would be immediately excommunicated from his church, poor Jesus would not recognize his mutated creation today, it would be an incredible experience to attempt to square away with him what happened, and what he would require be done to put it back on the rails.

Well, I picked "sceptic" as my poll option. That's my philosophical position, and it pretty much answers how I'm going to respond to any outlandish claims unsupported by evidence.

If we're just talking about cartoon character gods, I'm as close to gnostic as you can be without claiming absolutely certainty about things. If I know anything, I know those stupid fuckers are childish fantasies. No one is expected to clarify if they are gnostic or agnostic about the tooth fairy. Gods are given special protection in debates that, on the whole, they have not earned.

The congenital fatal flaws in Christianity are recorded in their own Bible!  And then Joe Smith (apparently unwittingly) commits the same errors in regards to changing shit and leaving a paper trail in his self gestated false religion of Mormonism.  And even after figuring out all the other Christian faiths are wrong, he goes on to repeat their fatal errors too !

Not only has the scam not changed, the intrinsic flaws of scamminating in the religious orbit do not change either. Or maybe a better way of wording it is, 'fine (and coarse) tuning of a scam is a hallmark of the successful ones. The unsuccessful ones wither of course.

Obviously, a divinely hatched "One True Religion" would be from the get go perfected and not require (nor inspire) any tweaking.  And evidence of tweaking (let alone the full scale rewrite Paul did unto Jesus) is conclusive evidence of falsity.

No one even knows what Christianity was to begin with. It could have been a bloody nice bloke just suggesting people all get along.
