Deplorable's are still angry
#41
RE: Deplorable's are still angry
It's not about having my image "tarnished." That sounds petty. It's more out of respect for the officers/people who have to deal with the consequences of that, and also out of principle because I don't stand by those types of actions.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

So stand by the message not the actions

Reports of almost 100 arrests and vandalism in D.C. associated with inauguration protests, but by all means let's talk about the deplorables being angry.

That's pretty weak.

Yea lets equate the few to the majority. I think you fail to recognize where his demagoguery will lead or can lead long term. You think 100 are alot. What about the countless beaten and lynched in the past. What about Harvey Milk being murdered or gays being arrested en mass. What about Susan B Anthony having the shit beat out of her.

Nope, sorry, while everyone would prefer peaceful protest, the anger is still rightfully justified. You should aim your anger at Trump's demagoguery, not the few our media exploits to get ratings.

As much as I dislike Trump, these threads get tiring. I see it enough on social media as it is. Stop running in fists flying about this.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

I seem to recall a group of conservatives that protested within weeks of Obama's first term, whining about big government and whatnot. Yeah, they talked about using guns (even brought some to the protests) and a few threats were made on Democratic congressmen -- let's not even get into the shooting in Arizona. I seem to remember people dressing up like 18th century figures, dumping trash everywhere, calling everyone that disagreed communists, and seriously discussing armed resistance to presidential orders. They even dressed up some scare crows as Democratic senators with nooses around the necks.
