RE: Trump: "Any negative polls are fake news"

Trump...you look at what he's done, what he says... and you go...I mean, you take a country like Canada, ok? CAN-NUH-DUH. Many people are saying, and I know all these people, great people, the best. They love me. They look at my duck avatar and they just love me. But we're in big big trouble. I mean big trouble. Because you look at Trump and the dumb shit he says. I was talking to somebody, who loves me by the way, big league, and he looks at me... and he says... Trump doesn't read the EO's he signs. I go... what a loser. I don't like losers. I only like winners. But this country is a mess. A big mess, ok? Believe me.
Aaaaaand consider Trump supporters swayed. You're welcome.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Yeah... the cheap clothes we buy from bangledash and the like? The people who make them don't live particularly lovely lives. Far from the only issue with a trade agreement that gives corporations power to skirt government regulations. Might be some good stuff in that agreement... but the bad and the potentials for abuse are rampant and ugly. Granted, many troubles with it stem from the question of globalism vs nationalism... and I'm not much of a globalist beyond seeing my strawberries year round.
Sure, nobody really 'wins' in a bad enough war... but if I were to pick a horse to still be standing in the end? I'd either go America, or some shitty central african country that nobody cares about. I prefer to pick the country I live in and love.

Did you actually look to see what TPP entailied......? Crucial portions of the TPP concerned collaborative and uniform workers rights and compensation between member states........

Yes. Buy american, hire american
It could be much worse than it already is; corporations preventing those shit countries from enforcing whatever workers laws they may ever pass, likewise shitting on our legal system in general. I'm not a fan of preventing a country from enforcing its own laws, and I'm also not a fan of enabling companies to obfuscate where their products have come from. Ain't about the polls by this point, but I'm happy enough to dedicate real time to that elsewhere some other time.

Like 2 months ago when it was relevant and terrifying everyone and their mother? All I've got to that recently is a celebration that it's gone, over macro issues with it. If I remember correctly, there's a lot of really confusing legalese in the lot of that agreement, so I may have read excerpts of that wrong. If that's the case, then, that's great
I still believe it's a better move to speak with my wallet regarding slavery than to allow corporations to shit on the sovereignty of nations, and that the overarching nature of the thing brings us down to their level, and shits on our rights (with the potential to shit on whatever rights may ever materialize in bangledesh and the like), and most importantly: that it further enables the departure of american manufacturing and business in general (re: buy murica).

Not really, since...if that;s the case (which it is) we fucked the pooch for no reason at all.......

By rejecting TPP you were -enabling- countries to enforce slavery in order to maximise their competitive advantages in a global marketplace........their "sovereignty" to pay people slave wages is..ofc, sacrosanct.

Unlikely......being against global trade agreements is about the most anti-libertarian thing imaginable.....but, if, by "libertarian" you mean the koch fronted term in american slang for "gullible"..well......

Seriously guys, though. What's up with this gaslighting thing? Did a Gaslight 2: The Redefinening happen to hit some dank theatre near me?
It's starting to sound like any time anybody disagrees with my viewpoint they gaslightening me. Have you gone mad, my husband?
Gaslighting is the attempt to make someone doubt their own perceptions of reality.
I'd say Trump qualifies. Repeating lies in an attempt to make them The Truth.

What you had was people being reasonably afraid that the man sent his Press Secretary out to the podium to say "That was the largest crowd to ever witness a presidential inauguration. Period."
There is a good amount of editorializing to be done about that kind of statement and the precedent it sets on Day One.
I've spent a long while thinking while I workin dinner about that first sentence. I had thought that you meant that I couldn't find an actual news site comparing trump to hitler or the like XD I was like, 'defy you to find one? Jesus christ the avalanche is unending!'. Little giggle, don't mind me.
So.... what this actually comes down to is a difference in perception. That his press secretary said that on day one terrifies you... and it doesn't affect me at all.
Quote:I agree. Perception is, in many people's world, their reality. But it doesn't change the polling data. The president's response to bad polling data should be to question why the polling data is bad and maybe alter his decision making in order to make the people in the country he leads approve of what he is doing, not to a priori dismiss any data that goes against the narrative that he wants to push.
For someone so wrapped up in perception, you are remarkably quick to dismiss the perception of the majority of the people in America. Because it doesn't fit your reality, I would guess.
But people do approve of what he's doing, by some polls. And people also do not approve of what he's doing, by other polls. What I will say for certain when we talk about polls is that people approve of him a heck of a lot more than people approve of Merkel or Hollande, and I will say for certain that Trump has been in office for 2 weeks and is making good on his campaign promises.
His response to his 3 million popular vote defeat was to launch a much needed investigation into voter fraud that his political opponents *had been seeking* up until he did it.
You can't say his optics aren't good, surely. Man's a master of optics
Trump, a master of optics?
WTF are you smoking?

We conceded the pacific, and the future of trade, when we bowed out of TPP, as imperfect as it may have been. We voluntarily made ourselves second stringers when only we could have done so, to ourselves. Just as one factual rebuttal to your ideological examples.
I KNOW! I've been totally BTFO by it XD This election has been CRAZY @___@
I don't feel the same way... China needs us, and we may be on the cusp of a real relationship with Russia. If we need to make specific trade deals in the pacific with their slave labour: we can well make individual trade deals with respective countries.
We're the richest country on Earth with a military presence that could actually go to war with the world and win... There's some serious leverage to be had if we're willing to use it. Wish we could get Mehmet in on this He'd tell us a thing or two about national pride.
Lol, we could "win against the world"?
Can I tell you a little story about a place called Iraq?
Seriously, get right with some facts. You'll think more clearly and probably talk in a smarter manner.

Newest Trump tweet attacking media he doesn't like:
Quote:The failing @nytimes writes total fiction concerning me. They have gotten it wrong for two years, and now are making up stories & sources!
I'd like him to post ONE example of the NYT fabricating sources or stories about him.
They're not failing, by the way. Their subscriptions doubled in the last year.
