I'm starting to wonder if maybe Putin wasn't the orchestrater of the chemical attack.  Think about it.  Syria has already been accused of using chemical weapons, but there never seemed to be definitive proof.  Now all of a sudden we have a chemical attack for everyone to see, which forces an incompetent egomaniac that has no idea what he is doing to either get involved or look weak. It seems Putin has more to gain from this attack than Assad.

I just can't shake the feeling that Trump is being played like a fiddle.

They sit around a desk and write up 'strongly worded condemnations' that do nothing while innocent people are slaughtered in conflicts all over the world. On another note, why does using chemical weapons cross the line but using regular weapons doesn't?

Sarin gas, barrel bombs or bullets, the method used to kill doesn't really matter to me. Innocent civilians are still dying and I think the only reason you are outraged is because Trump is. If he hadn't commented on it or authorised that strike, chances are you wouldn't bring up atrocities in Syria at all.

Did you disagree with him on the subject when he was running? He said time and time again that getting involved in Syria was a mistake and actually used Clinton's stance (which was basically what Trump just did) against her.

Comparing a 2013 tweet when there was no promise by Syria/Russia to not use chemical weapons and the reaction after the promise is in place and broken is comparing apples and oranges.

Bullshit, I am tired of people thinking that when an administration changes the policies suddenly become drastically opposite. Our intel is a long term baton that gets passed on to the next president. The only difference between the GOP and Dems is that we lean to diplomacy far more and the GOP leans to John Wayne bullshit far more on average, so when we want to do something, the GOP doesn't like us taking the spotlight.

Ok, so Trump was right when he said NOT to attack Syria for using poison gas but he's right for attacking Syria for using poison gas?
