ladies and gentlemen it was a false flag attack.
We i guess had no intention of fighting Assad and this is entirely a shit show.. yet now we have to live this this result.....

Citing RT, especially for an incident in which Russia is involved, is extraordinarily stupid.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe Putin wasn't the orchestrater of the chemical attack.  Think about it.  Syria has already been accused of using chemical weapons, but there never seemed to be definitive proof.  Now all of a sudden we have a chemical attack for everyone to see, which forces an incompetent egomaniac that has no idea what he is doing to either get involved or look weak. It seems Putin has more to gain from this attack than Assad.

I just can't shake the feeling that Trump is being played like a fiddle.

They sit around a desk and write up 'strongly worded condemnations' that do nothing while innocent people are slaughtered in conflicts all over the world. On another note, why does using chemical weapons cross the line but using regular weapons doesn't?

Sarin gas, barrel bombs or bullets, the method used to kill doesn't really matter to me. Innocent civilians are still dying and I think the only reason you are outraged is because Trump is. If he hadn't commented on it or authorised that strike, chances are you wouldn't bring up atrocities in Syria at all.

Use of chemical weapons is banned by the Geneva Convention.

I am aware, but there was hardly any outrage from your average person when conventional weapons were being used to massacre children, or when the regime was preventing food aid from entering a city. It's just stupid to start moaning now that chemical weapons were used, which is obviously terrible, but ignore the other shit.

How can you be so gullible?
Sometimes it takes more courage to stay out of a conflict that to engage in one.

Think about it. When there was no personal gain for Trump, he was completely against any action in Syria after a poison gas attack. (And he was actually correct then) One of his many tweets in 2013:

Quote:TRUMP:
AGAIN, TO OUR VERY FOOLISH LEADER, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA - IF YOU DO MANY VERY BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN & FROM THAT FIGHT THE U.S. GETS NOTHING!

Now, all he has to do is completely reverse himself and you foolishly think it's because he's a strong leader? He's MANIPULATING you for political gain! Let go of your 100% partisan shallowness and maybe reality will start to sink in.

How can you be such a naïve Chicken Little?
It also takes courage to back up your threats when you draw Red Lines in the sand, which barack failed to do after he warned Syria against using chemical weapons. Eight years of barack's limp wristed foreign policy did nothing but to embolden ruthless and murderous regimes like North Korea, Iran, and Syria. Not to mention Russia and China, as well.

You think about it. Knowing these countries, how much more emboldened would they have become in creating more instability in their regions and eventually becoming an even greater threat to world peace had we continued following barack's foreign policy of appeasement?

Now that our world allies see that the U.S. is actually willing to act, unlike limp wristed barack who talked tough and made empty threats, they'll be more inclined to form coalitions now to confront the rogue regimes.

2013 was then. This is now. This president, unlike the previous POTUS POS, made good on his threat.

A Theist,

Donald Trump's aim during his campaign was better relations with Russia and, as Aegon pointed out, he said that getting involved in Syria is a mistake. I used to sort of like him, although never really agreed with him on many things, but I honestly thought for a short period that he wasn't part of the establishment. As of late, he has revealed himself to be your bog-standard neoconservative and even a lot of his supporters seem to be abandoning him.

Did you disagree with him on the subject when he was running? He said time and time again that getting involved in Syria was a mistake and actually used Clinton's stance (which was basically what Trump just did) against her.

Bullshit, I am tired of people thinking that when an administration changes the policies suddenly become drastically opposite. Our intel is a long term baton that gets passed on to the next president. The only difference between the GOP and Dems is that we lean to diplomacy far more and the GOP leans to John Wayne bullshit far more on average, so when we want to do something, the GOP doesn't like us taking the spotlight.

Now, I am NOT talking about going in or staying out being right or wrong, but the GOP pulled the same fucking bullshit running from their own health care plan which Obama modeled after Mitt Romney's plan.

It is utter nonsense long term to think in terms of always defaulting to a strike or a war, or total isolation. It is literally physically impossible on a GLOBE which is a BALL, and not infinitely flat where you can always expand or conquer. We do have to engage sometimes with diplomacy and sometimes with force.

But for you to claim what Obama wanted back then is now different is utter bullshit. I am not saying it would be good or bad to do it, but bullshit only in that it was different.

The GOP tactic has been the same for decades, on all subjects, none of it about real governing, but creating needless problems then when Dems try to correct the shit they started, they blame dems for what they created. Now you say Trump is right for doing it now? I could give a fuck less, if it were not for the GOP and Bush Jr for busting up Iraq neither Obama or Trump would be arguing over strikes or timing.

I'm not talking about Obama, health care, GOP vs Dems, default war, isolation or conquer Brian. You're a petulant full of shit child. Fuck off.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Ok, so Trump was right when he said NOT to attack Syria for using poison gas but he's right for attacking Syria for using poison gas?  Wacky

If Obama would have attacked Syria in 2013 you would have blamed him for getting us involved in another quagmire like Trump was saying. If he doesn't attack, he's a piece of shit coward even though he is doing exactly what Trump is arguing for?

How can I take you seriously when you make such little sense?. Devoid of your irrational fear of the left/Dems do you really think you would make as stupid an error as you just made above? Seriously, stop running every issue  through your partisan politics engine to give you the "correct" answer and instead just try thinking for yourself.
If god was real he wouldn't need middle men to explain his wants or do his bidding.

Upwards of 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles came down in less than 2 minutes !!!

Jesus fucking Christ, I bet the folks on the target thought they were in a Hollywood blockbuster action movie.

Hey, no one ever accused the human race of being rational, especially when it comes to war.  But I've been outraged the whole time, if that makes a difference.

And it looks like Trump was so concerned about the children that he forgot to worry about who his own missiles were going to land on...Oops...

Quote:Nine people, including four children, in two villages were killed in the strike, Syrian state news agency SANA reported. It was not clear whether the figure included the six deaths announced earlier by the Syrian military or was in addition to those.

Pretty awesome, right, A Theist?  U.S.A.!  U.S.A.!  U.S.A.!

(And it looks like I have been onto something with thinking Putin had something to do with the chemical attack.)
