Some relationship advice

I will just get straight to the point. There is a girl who I have known since I was in Community College. Which was 2012. So I have known her for 5 years now. I really like her, I just really do! The only problem is she is dating another guy right now. However, based off with how her last 2 boyfriends went it's only a matter of time until they break up. She seems to go out with these guys who turn out to be complete assholes. I really like her! So I just want what's best for her. However, how do I go about making a move? I am pretty sure she knows I like her, because I have told her some years before. However, we do talk quite a bit. We hung out last year after she broke up with boyfriend #2. We went to a baseball game with each other. She hates baseball, I love baseball. I joke about how I'm going to drag her to another game this season. haha But yeah. Do you think I will just be stuck in this friendzone forever with her? We don't see each other often since I live about 100 miles away for school. We are both 23. I'm 99.9% sure she views our friendship in high regards.
I trust you guys. So this is why I am asking this here

It's hard to say anything really, without hearing directly from her and having more information to go on about the ex's in her life and the reasons why they are assholes.

I should have mentioned that one of the common reasons she dumped her last 2 boyfriends is that they were not really caring about her feelings and wanting to basically blow them off to go hang with friends and such. Stuff like that.

Fair enough. But how would you remedy that with a distance of 100 miles between the two of you?

I've had much work- and uni related long distance relationshipping over the past 15 years. It wasn't easy. Starting one that is long distance from the get go seems undesirable and bound for heartbreak and annoyance...

This is going to be harsh......
You've known a girl for five years. In that five years, knowing that you like her...she's cycled through a couple of men..but you aren't one of them. Just let that sink in.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
