Nope. God loves me, God wants me to know him yet he won't make it easy?

I have 2 daughters. I love them, I want them to know me. I will make it as easy as possible to know me.

I have the added bonus of actually existing and actually loving them.

Sounds like you've made your decision .

And it's pretty well absent in Judaism. Hmmmm..curious?

According to the Babylonian Talmud rabbis won't go to hell because their good deeds outweigh the bad deeds.

Good luck to them.

Well I am quite happy to make a decision to love, because I really like that. But a little reciprocation and communication ain't such a bad thing either.

You're asking God to reveal himself to you, but you're only willing to accept the answer that you think it should be. It's like me introducing myself to you and saying "hi, I'm Lek and this is what I look like" and you say "no, you're not Lek because you shouldn't look like that." I don't think it's about whether or not God loves you, but rather you just don't believe or don't want to believe in him.

Okay, but you could come to my quiet little village in England, meet me face to face and have a beer with me and then disabuse me of any preconceptions I had about you. Please do, I have a very nice local pub and I don't bite.

Thanks JR. If I ever get to England I'll look you up.

Please do, would be happy to show you around. Friendship and meeting people, even if we disagree on some things, is more important to me. I believe we only have one life, I know you don't, but it is still possible to find some common ground, and an English pub is the closest thing to heaven I've ever found. Probably deluded by a rather long run of rain free weather over here though!

I don't think I've tried any English beer. I'm picturing myself sitting in a tavern in the countryside, with a mug of draft, with foam running down the sides, putting trails through the frosted glass - and if it's an English pub it must also have a dart board on the wall. I'll just hold that image.

Fairly accurate. My pub has darts, bar billiards and a Toad in the Hole board. The local beer wouldn't foam down your glass, but down your chin, it's pretty strong. Wink

And the beer is warm, no frosted glass, sorrySad
