Could your religious beliefs be wrong?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Sure, I've been wrong before....could be again!  But I look at things more closely, than I used to.

Personally, I don't put a lot of stock in these type of social science studies.   One contradicts another.   I just thought it interesting; how much some comments demonstrate the conclusion.

If by meaning we don't tolerate bullshit too well, then yeah, we're close minded to illogical hypotheticals and fairy tales ...Life's too short! (pardon the religious irony!)

Reading the study more carefully, it seems to support the contention that atheists are less likely to change their minds after obtaining actual evidence that genuinely supports a particular conclusion.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Sounds like a reasonable response. I up the requirements when dealing with fundamentally dishonest people - if one tells me the sky is blue, I look up and then ask what's their agenda.

My time is valuable and I hate wasting it on credulous fools when it could be put to better use entertaining the non-fool demographic.

Being skeptical doesn't mean one treats everyone with the same amount of deference - have Alex Jones put forth something truthful and all I could say is that a broken clock may be right twice a day but it is wrong the other 86,398 instances of time normalized to the seconds boundary.

@Researcher in OP whose name I cannot pronounce:
Toddlers are overwhelmingly more open-minded than most adults, don't be a toddler, grow up!

Sadly, that's the only way indoctrination can work.

The only reason theists are allowed to come here talking shit is because we are tolerant.

I rest my case.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

I wonder how we atheists would be treated on these Christian message boards.

Would we be welcomed with open arms? Somehow, I doubt it.

Depends on the site, but usually not.
I don't believe you. Get over it.
