Wasn't there a cloud of mist surrounding the area?

As for how could it sneak up on Asha Greyjoy? Well, Euron's ship is named Silence for a reason...
Not sailed much, have you?

Sound carries very well accross water.

Decent episode. Big things set up. Can't wait for the actual big things!

I don't remember that name... but whatever... more sails, more sound.
Besides, it's not by sound that you find other things on the sea... unless you have sonar.

You'd be surprised how hard it would be to spot a black ship with black sails and no lights on a cloudy, moonless night.

Doesn't that work both ways?
How would he know to be there?...
How did he get there?! Wasn't he in King's Landing just an episode ago?!!
Oh.... Littlefinger's™ transport mechanism... I remember it now! bah... next episode, Jon Snow will be in King's Landing and not have passed Arya... LOL!

That's even more ludicrous!!

It's called Silence because it's manned by people without tongues,

Seriously

So I am pretty convinced that Arya is not going back to Winterfell any longer.

I think she was reminded by her encounter with Nymeria that she doesn't belong there. Her interaction with Hot Pie reinforces her lack of "domestication." She's a mess eating and gulping down ale. She's sort of surprised when he tells her she's pretty. She quotes the Hound with "Got any ale?"

She's going to King's Landing.

Or, being told of Jon, she's going to visit him.
