viewing stolen nude photos

RE: viewing stolen nude photos
I think she didn't even know that her photos were backing up to the cloud. Some phones/OSs do that without asking.

When the internet of things is new to people, they sometimes can be just innocently naive.

That being said, I do think it's immoral to look at the pictures, as not only does it revictimize the victim, but it also supports the demand for future victims' pictures.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Not a crime... just immoral. But yes, you are correct that this was my question Min.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

It's impossible for me to be or do anything immoral, So no.

Eh it's not cool but I wouldn't say someone is morally bad for looking at something on the internet. I don't feel bad about looking them up myself.

I believe it's totally disgusting.
You shouldn't abuse somebody's privacy in any way.

When the world is full of people who are willing to do it without any problem, why would someone steal pictures; unless they were some assholes?
Google images yield millions (literally) of nude women and men, and even transexuals. Different organs focused at to meet the searcher's own personal fetish, so what is it with aiming to ignore that and go to the private pictures of somebody; unless you were a real sick fella.

I realize the need for "pics that seem real". But at least earn the pictures instead of stalking stealing?

If somebody kept it private, that should be respected as a choice. It's the same concept with avoiding to peak.

So a big no-no for sneak peaks for me.

The question was, is it wrong. Yes, it is wrong. Can you stop people from doing it? Of course you can't. You'd actually have to hold people to a moral high ground and frankly - scum is everywhere. It takes all kinds.

And I did answer the question. It was wrong. I stated as such and then I furthered my thought. I didn't think that wasn't allowed.

What she's saying all makes perfect sense. Looking at a person's naked body without their consent is not right at all in my opinion. It's  violation of their humanity and their privacy, imho. I recently listened to an interview where the guy being interviewed said he had a celebrity crush on JLaw and proceeded to say he was all excited when her nude photos came out so he could look at them. I guess I'm wondering how many people feel the same way as this guy and their explanation for why they don't think it's wrong.

Well .. unless their naked body intrudes into my field of vision then it's all mine.

Edited to add that I don't feel the same way about the photos in question.  If those make it into my field of vision, now that I know the back story, I might just look away.

RE: viewing stolen nude photos
After Lisa Marie's divorce from Michael Jackson and also after his legal troubles with pedophilia accusations she was asked what it was like to be intimate with Michael.

She replied, uncomfortably, words to the effect it was 'normal'.

I wondered at the time about that question and anyone interested in the reply as to entertaining thoughts and/or contemplating being intimate with a pedophile as being pretty icky.

So, looking at pictures might be one thing, but experiencing the state of mind of a pedophile while being intimate, albeit with an adult at the time, is demonstrably ickier, no ??

I think I need to go take a shower now . . . .

The people looking at the photos may not know that they were taken from a hacked account... If that's the case, ignorance is bliss! Tongue
Knowing that there are photos of a particular person floating around the web, after some hacker got access to that person's account, I just avoid even going in the various news posts that pop up with that info... Just leave the people be.
If we don't make a fuss about it, the hackers will stop.... but there will always be fanboys/fangirls that want to see that material, regardless of its origin.
