RE: Food discoveries.
Whole wheat bread , lettuce ,tomato , onion, avocado, peanut butter. Great sandwich.

And for dessert : A Tennessee PB+J! A handful of salted peanuts dumped into a bottle of Grape Crush.

We do this with fries and vanilla Frosty's from Wendy's. They are awesome.

When I have no ice cream or vanilla shakes around, I like dipping French fries in mayonnaise.
I like hot chips in Tartar sauce.
If I don't have any of that I just make a mayo and add gherkin spread with a little finely chopped Spanish onion.
Wow, I'm really hungry just saying that.

I had nothing for dessert.
Grabbed some SR flour, sugar, white cooking chocolate and golden syrup from the cupboard.
Grabbed some eggs and milk from the fridge.
Grabbed a handful of strawberries from the garden.
Made some pikelets.
Made a strawberry coulis. Mixed the coulis with white cooking chocolate melted in a bowl on a simmering saucepan.
Dipped the pikelets in the syrup and drizzled the white chocolate strawberry coulis over the top.
Bellissimo. Mama mia. :-)

My grandmother used to take whole, heads on sardines and dip them in plain Greek yogurt. Don't try it!

A grilled cheese sandwich with roasted green chilis. Dip sandwich in a tomatillo salsa.

I discovered half a slice of pizza under the settee once. Best day at the rubbish tip ever.

Or try this. Grill a couple of rounds of bread on one side. Turn them over and top with grilled fish fingers, lightly mashed and broken, and cheese. Toast until the cheese is melted. Serve covered with peas, corn or something similar. Your tastebuds will want to give me money.

Mash up a can of sardines in olive oil. Add diced onion, cilantro, tomato, and jalapeno. Eat with corn chips. You will thank me for it.

I once made an emergency meal by boiling tinned tuna (brine or spring water, not the oil abomination) and red kidney beans in a pan of pasta sauce, and served with chips ("fries") from the chippy. Went down an absolute treat. And stayed down, which is the main thing.

  • Eggs (of course)
  • Blue cheese
  • Salami
  • Green olives
  • Garlic
  • Tabasco sauce
It was pretty good Smile

And who can forget the classic, peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich?

I have eaten mayo/peanut butter sammiches years ago, not sure I could do it now, however . . .

Hamburger dill slices and peanut butter sammich is good
