Guns is only part of the problem, in my opinion.
Mental health checks and treatment should be free for all.

Our flooded market and ease of access are the problem and fear are how the factories protect their profits.

But sure, lack of investment in health care, and lack of family stability from lack of livable wages long term also don't help.

The NRA, not the gun companies, just the NRA, spent more than $28 million on the midterm elections in 2014. Guess who got >90% of that money?

Not the point. Firearms are products made by private industry, and like any private industry the CEO's goal is to keep and expand profits to attract shareholders. Just like Wells Fargo only got a slap on the wrist, we have allowed for far too long the corporate world to bully the rest of us.

The same reason we have our pay gap too. We have allowed the top to bully society and economic free for all with no accountability.

The worst thing congress did was to make it impossible to sue the factories.

Now when I say sue, I don't mean ban, but they should be sued for their marketing, just like big tobacco was sued and forced to stop marketing the way they were.

Appears that she had resided with him since January 2017. Gut feeling is that she just chased money.

I'm just curious as to his motivation, 64 year old white dude living in a retirement home outside Vegas. Doesn't exactly fit the average shooting spree bill unless I'm mistaken.

I am not accusing you of anything here.

Just getting tired of having to point out profiles and motives SHOULD NOT be the focus.

It should not matter if the shooting was accidental.
It should not matter if the shooting is a suicide.
It should not matter if the shooting is a domestic murder.
It should not matter if the shooting is mentally ill.
It should not matter if the shooting is Christian or Islamic motivated.
It should not matter if the gun was legally or illegally obtained.


The reason is one reason only. The factories have used the heat shield of the NRA and GOP and all three sell fear to protect the industry profits. We have 36,000 firearm deaths of all kinds, from both legally obtained and illegally obtained guns because the industry uses fear to keep our flooded market and ease of access.

They examined Chenar's paraffin blocks of the tumor, stained specimens of it and Whitman's other brain tissue, in addition to the remainder of the autopsy specimens available.
Following a three-hour hearing on August 5, the Commission concluded that Chenar's finding had been in error. I'm old enough to remember this shooting. It was a BFD 'back in the day' and unfortunately the time line for getting the above information was rather long. I note the similarity of the height of the gunman's perch in both mass shootings, and further, the shooter today is old enough to remember Whitman's assault too . . .
