Yeah, just saw I got ninja'd.
The grammar, other than some poor punctuation, isn't any better or worse than you'd expect from someone who got average grades in high school and the racist language is far from being over the top. In all honesty, it sounds perfectly in line with something we could expect from one of the trumpster's better educated supporters. Regardless of intent, this type of shit should never happen whether it's a sick joke in very poor taste or their actual beliefs. As to the font, it's a fairly standard one and could well be their attempt at throwing off forensics by using it. I'm sure there are people out there who think (read: are dumb enough to believe), thanks to American TV, that laser jet printers can be traced the same way old dot-matrix printers and typewriters could, and that changing the font could actually disrupt that.

I don’t know if it’s really a parent’s doing, but I don’t dismiss the possibility. That’s what our country is harvesting right now.
Just cuz it comes across stupid doesn't rule out a Mormon penned it. After all, they bought old horny Joe's oft revised bullshit hook line and sinker.

No, you're a moron because you state that there's a "good chance" it was fake based on a baseless assumption that you can ascertain a writer's race by writing alone.

Like I said, I have no idea what race the author of the letter is, but when I first read it, my first thought was that it sounds a lot like a black person, and you can try to make me look like a bad guy for sharing my first reaction to reading the letter, but blacks often say "You can tell a black person wrote this... or said this", so me doing something similar is no worse. Blacks do it to themselves all the time, so what exactly is the issue here that I'm missing?
You're missing the fact that blacks do not do that all the time. I'm not arguing emotionally, because unlike you, I'm not importing my personal assumptions in positing silly extenuating circumstances.
Nor am I trying to make you look like a bad guy; you're doing well enough there on your own.

What that tells me is that you're willing to go off half-cocked, talking of "good chances", making baseless assumptions about a writer's race based on grammar. And that marks you as a moron.
Ok, maybe I should have said decent chance rather than good chance. I didn't mean to make it sound like I think it's 50/50 or anything like that. It wasn't just the grammar either. It was that combined with the ridiculousness of the letter. The OP asked us to speculate and that's what I did. She thinks it may have been a poe, and I agreed because the letter is so ridiculous. Elsewhere in the thread, the letter has been called a prank and obvious trolling. If it really is a poe, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that there's a decent chance that maybe the poe was doing it to make a certain group look bad. That's certainly not an unreasonable thought. Maybe it's an ex-boyfriend or friend that is trying to hurt the black woman at the daycare center like Catholic_Lady think's it could be, or maybe it was just someone having a laugh. Maybe our speculation is way off and the letter is indeed genuine and the author meant those things.

I'd consider the proper terminology to be "a distinct possibility."
Hell, I'm taking an accounting course and they actually have three separate categories of probabilities for possible gains or losses: "probable, reasonably possible, or remote." Only Probable gains or losses get recorded before they happen. I suspect by this point, "Reasonably possible" is the sort of category you're thinking.
Honestly, applying Trump's new catchphrase to a goddam daycare, writing concerns like a poorly-written snooty racist in a bad script, and doing so in goddam JOKERMAN, of all fonts (seriously, even Comic Fucking Sans would seem like a more intimidating font in comparison) points to it most likely being someone trying to troll the daycare.
And they're not even threatening the daycare with much more than potentially pulling their kids from the service. And good fucking riddance if they follow through on that threat. It does seem like, even assuming it's genuine, they may be overreacting to it.

Could someone please post the letter? I don't use twitter, and don't want to sign up and follow someone just to see it.

Thank you pool.
Idk. Sure it could be a fake, but it also could be legit. The font doesn't strike me as all that odd TBH. I also honestly haven't been exposed to very much overt racism (though my uncle by marriage used to be Mormon and he says some fairly racist stuff). I don't know how over the top that might or might not be.
From some of the things I've read in news stories in the last 10 years, though, there are people who think that way. It seems jumping to the conclusion that it's probably a hoax seems premature. I'd wait and see what comes of it.

This is the problem with every religion worldwide. Every umbrella label, has members under it, individuals or sects, whom use the same writings to justify either compassion or cruelty. This is what makes every religion a horrible way to conduct national or global politics.
No, it isn't that you can force any religion off the face of the planet. But most humans never want to consider that our species behaviors are not some poker chips in a cosmic casino bet between a super hero and super villain.
Most humans get handed the superstitions of their parents at birth and while there is great empathy in our species, we stupidly confuse the good side of our species as magically being handed to us, instead of being in us.
Religion still produces this tribalism and fear of outsiders as much as others like to claim it produces unity and peace. If any one religion were a cure we would see that by now. I'd say the only thing that humans have in reality are other humans and if we want peace, we need to stop giving so much priority to our differences and focus on the things we have in common.
